Um... None. |

You seem to be under the assumption that I have ever visited Europe. Which I have not. |

None of them. |

Don't you mean "have" I visited? I've been to England, France and Switzerland. |
| lara | | posted 30-Aug-1999 8:45am |
also Scotland and Wales. |

Welcome, new user! Before you post again, ask yourself these telling questions: - Is my question phrased in the most specific, logical sense?
- Is my list of possible answers complete, including a "no opinion"/"not applicable" option?
- Are the answers listed in an efficient, easy-to-follow order?
When you can answer "yes" to all of these questions, go ahead and press that Submit button. Otherwise, revise! Thanks a bunch, Your Helpful S.C. Usership |

I was really only passing through England both times I went there. So I don't know if I can count it since all I saw was the inside of Heathrow Airport (and it looked just like Logan).
Oh, and ignore the jerks. |

I lived in England. This needed an option for folks who have never been to Europe. |
| lelle | | posted 30-Aug-1999 3:54pm |
And Scotland. |
Wicksy | | posted 31-Aug-1999 4:38am |
when DID I visit? |

As long as you're counting Northern Ireland separate from England, you should count Scotland and Wales as well. |

Thanx drdt! And sorry for my English, it's NOT my mother tongue. |
| anonymous | | posted 6-Sep-1999 12:05am |
vos- I figured that English was not your "mother tongue," the verb tense which a native English speaker would have used in that sentence is a more complicated and abstract one than the simple past tense. Don't let us grammar-wieners get you down- your intention was perfectly understandable. |

I have never set foot outside of the USA... |

To include England but not Scotland or Wales is something that most Scots or Welsh would find very offensive. Also, I'm not sure that I'd include Iceland under "Europe". An "Other" option is missing, too. |

During the 3 years I lived in Germany I was fortunate enough to have visited 14 of the countries listed. My husband (at the time) insisted that we travel through the tiny countries just to say we'd been there, and I see I'm the only one who has visited them. San Marino was the most beautiful.
Vos - I don't think people would have been so critical if they had realized English is a 2nd language for you. I think it's wonderful to have people here from all different countries. Did you answer the survey? I'm curious, since you live in Europe, how many of these places you have visited. |
Maarten |
Hi Sue Bee. Thanx for your kind remarks! The European countries I have visited are: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Germany (also the DDR before they rejoined W-Germany in 1989), Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. |
Maarten |
oh... and Poland. |
SueBee |
vos - Wow! You haven't missed very many! You've visited far more of your neighboring countries than I have visited other states around me. but I think there's a lot more to see in Europe. (I hear Idaho is rather boring.) |
| drdt |
SB: Idahoans tell you that so you don't come visit and risk finding out The Truth! |
| drdt |
Vos: Poland is a country again? Man am I out of touch... |

drdt - Try to keep up, will you? |

SueBee: I was lucky that my parents liked going abroad, so from an early age I've travelled abroad. At 17 I started travelling alone, first only in Europe, later to Morocco, Egypt, USA. Now I'm saving for a trip around the world. For donations, contact me at mvos@telfort.nl (Just kidding).

I don't see the Vatican...not that I went there either. Hey, where's the option for "I've never been to Europe"?!? ;) |

ILJ: right above the [Submit] button. |

Been to France, Finland and Belgium.
Would like options for (a) other, and (b) Moldova. No, never been to Moldova, but recently learned that it comprises a fair bit of my ethnic origins. |

Odd that I went to those countries (and some Asian ones) far before I went to Canada, which I first saw last year and which borders my home state, and Mexico, which I haven't seen yet but now live 30 miles from. |

Just England. I was in Leeds for the last two weeks of December 1990 and and the first three weeks of January 1991. |
