| Galomorro | posted 22-Jun-2007 9:31pm I buy as much as I can carry in my backpack and/or can afford at a time. |
| Enheduanna | posted 22-Jun-2007 9:58pm I do a bit of both. At a rough estimate, I'd say I usually do two or so big ones a month, supplemented by four or five smaller ones. |
| Enigma | posted 22-Jun-2007 11:15pm Not usually. |
| RGirl | posted 23-Jun-2007 12:02am Nearly everything and pop to the market now and again for things I forgot. |
| llamamama | posted 23-Jun-2007 12:13am I buy almost everything at once..Well, I don't buy them..but..bah. |
| mrmarm | posted 23-Jun-2007 12:49am I still live live with my parents, ( I'm a teenager not some fat lazy computer nerd or whatever) but I buy myself like small things for week to have for myself. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 23-Jun-2007 1:17am I buy based on what I can afford & have room to store in the fridge, freezer or cupboard. |
| cabinfever | posted 23-Jun-2007 2:31am When I am here, I buy only as needed, since the grocery prices here are outrageous for the most part, except at WalMart, and then they aren't a big enough grocery store to have everything we want. When I go back to my hometown for a visit, I do a big shop stop at WinCo and stock up on mostly non-perishables and a few frozen items... only a few frozen items because I don't have much room in my insulated bag, and it's a long drive home. And then of course, who doesn't go back when needed for fresh foods like produce or forgotten items? |
| bill | posted 23-Jun-2007 7:26am yes, once a week, Mondays |
| jettles | posted 23-Jun-2007 8:38am i don't do much of our grocery shopping but my partner will do one or two larger buys/month and then go for some other stuff a couple of times a week. she is used to living in NYC and still shops as if we live there sometimes. she will buy smaller things she needs for dinner each day or a couple of times a week. she enjoys the grocery. |
| RainingFeathers | posted 23-Jun-2007 10:47am I still live with my parents, so I don't do the grocery shopping. When my parents buy groceries they buy everything they need for the next week (they'd buy more, but it wouldn't fit in the house. We go through a lot of food). |
| gambler | posted 23-Jun-2007 5:12pm I buy nearly everything, but will go back if needed i.e. for fresh food or forgotten items |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 23-Jun-2007 6:15pm Buy my groceries all at one time and I need a larger car because of this??? |
| Irene007 | posted 23-Jun-2007 7:06pm As needed, I end up throwing most of it away if I buy too much because I've been so busy lately but hopefully things'll change! |
| thecomic22 | posted 23-Jun-2007 10:28pm As a general rule, yea. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 24-Jun-2007 11:02am I buy some bulk but mostly go out every day or every other day to get stuff... I decide what to eat on the spur of the moment so never know what to get if I buy it too far ahead.. |
| Amanda | posted 24-Jun-2007 11:57pm I usually buy a lot once a month. Then, go on a a couple of smaller runs when it starts getting low. But, I'm always running to the little corner market for something I forgot. |
| Iseult | posted 25-Jun-2007 10:50am Mostly. Sometimes I'll go and buy some more fruit, or run down to the store and get something I need (e.g. today I need to get some souvlaki chicken). |
| cerealkiller | posted 25-Jun-2007 1:33pm No. I go to the grocery store every night. It's only a half mile away. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 25-Jun-2007 5:27pm I try really hard to get everything at once, alltho I always forget something, and end up going back |
| Zang | posted 26-Jun-2007 4:55pm I grocery shop nearly every day. I like fresh. I also live in a neighbourhood where I can do this very easily. I do the vast majority of my grocery shopping at little produce markets and fish mongers and bakeries and butcher shops. These are all available just a few steps from my front door. |
| Biggles | posted 26-Jun-2007 8:29pm I do a big shop at the supermarket every couple of weeks, and top up on fresh fruit and veg from the market as I need it. |
| ronnieburroughsjr | posted 5-Jul-2007 7:17am git r done |
| LindaH | posted 5-Jul-2007 7:39pm I get most of what I need in one go, but a huge percentage of the time, I try and get in and out of the store so fast, I end up forgetting something. I always end up having to go back. Today I forgot eye drops and tea, and who knows what else? |
| kcthedog | posted 26-Nov-2007 6:03am I love to do the “BIG!” shop. Slowly walking up and down the isles looking at everything. First I always head straight to the meat department, it upsets me to see someone at the check out stand, found a bigger/better steak than I did, only because I took my time doing produce first! Even after spending an hour and a half, filling a grocery cart I find I still forgot something and during the week I have to go back for small purchases. Some items I buy as I need them, produce, meat, dairy, bread, beer and wine. I am always at the grocery store; it is a great place to meet women! But the sticker shock always gets me! |
