| docgbrown | posted 4-Jun-2007 10:53am Yes, more than once. When I was really young, I'd try to join them to see what they were looking at.
Decades later, when in Iraq, I saw some shadows of lurkers outside the shower tent during female shower hours (the tent was 50 yards from our little compound, but we were its closest neighbor). I marched over; my mere presence scared the peepers away. That night I posted myself outside to keep them at bay. The next day I added that shower tent area to my Marine’s area of responsibility to guard during the female shower hours to keep the perverts at bay. I thought that this change worked brilliantly until I overheard some of my marines talking, in coded terms, about what they had seen with our unit’s night vision goggles, weeks later. I pulled the marines aside to find out what was going on and got an ear full. There was more going on then peeping in my compound some nights. Inappropriate fraternization was a bigger problem then I had known and had to deal with it as I was a key member of the chain of command. After we got back to the States and separated to new units I found out that some of the marines that fell to temptation when using their night vision goggles were actually the primary peepers. Oops. After our unit was published in a story in Soldier of Fortune, magazine I got a few calls from former members of that unit a got even more information. It turns out that the problems that I was combating with in unit personnel were more prevalent then I had suspected. God, I hated to have to deal with that stuff. Thank goodness that deployment is over. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 4-Jun-2007 11:19am I wonder who this peeping tom is who is he? |
| ultamate | posted 4-Jun-2007 7:05pm I think I had a peeping tom where I used to live. I had a sliding glass door in my dinning area which was connected to my living room and kitchen. On a few occasions I found beer cans at the edge of my deck where they could have easily seen in. I was doing some yard work not long after finding the cans and came a crossed a trail leading into the woods. I was totally freaked out and covered my sliding glass door with a thick blanket and put towels over all my windows. I also got my b/f's 22 and started target shooting in the back yard. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 6-Jun-2007 1:08pm When I was younger, the boys from the neighborhood would hide in the bushes across the street and watch me un-dress... I would do it on purpose though.... |
| Lahdee | posted 6-Jun-2007 7:57pm I had a neighbor that stared at me a lot. He never peeped. Once when I was walking in the apartment, I noticed he was hiding behind his door watching. I found out later his name was Tom! |
