Or climbing a mountain oh I am out of shape and the high altitude will get you |
| RGirl | posted 20-May-2007 11:35pm Yes but I imagine it would be more mental than physical. |
| Enigma | posted 20-May-2007 11:56pm I don't think so. |

| Zang | posted 21-May-2007 1:16am I don't know. I've had periods of celibacy in my adult life that lasted a couple of years

| bill | posted 21-May-2007 9:54pm I wouldn't know! ...because I'm such a stud muffin and all that... or, maybe I've never been in shape sexually. |
| mrmarm | posted 22-May-2007 12:42am Isn't that usually like 9 months or something to renew your virgin status. |
| Jody | posted 22-May-2007 12:04pm I've read recently about research done with older Americans (50's and 60's), indicating that if you don't use it you're more likely to lose it (lose ability, lose enjoyment), which would support this theory. |
| Cain | posted 22-May-2007 5:23pm Yes. My sex life has never seemed to pick up to the point where I left off before pregnancy and childbirth.
Sucks. |
| LindaH | (reply to Cain) posted 22-May-2007 10:37pm Mine is actually better than it was before pregnancy and childbirth. Maybe there's hope for you. |
| LindaH | posted 22-May-2007 10:38pm Yes, it's possible, but it's all in the mind. |
| Cain | (reply to LindaH) posted 23-May-2007 12:29pm Dunno, it takes two to tango........
(Orgasms are much better now though) |
| cabinfever | posted 28-May-2007 2:43am Other: depends on what you mean by 'out of shape'. Do you forget some moves? Maybe. If you don't use it, you lose it. You might not be as flexible after a long period of celibacy... but in some women the celibacy allows certain things to 'tighten back up', if you get my meaning. |
| cabinfever | (reply to Cain) posted 28-May-2007 2:45am > Yes. My sex life has never seemed to pick
> up to the point where I left off before pregnancy > and childbirth. > > Sucks. Holy crap... lately, I'd think we were twins! I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Ever since I had my kid, my sex drive has been in reverse. My hubby is really suffering, since before the baby we'd be at least three times a week. |
| Cain | (reply to cabinfever) posted 31-May-2007 4:47pm To be honest, his sex drive isn't much better - I'm worried that this is what happens when you've been together four years, maybe the baby is just a convenient excuse? |
