| southernyankee | posted 4-May-2007 5:34pm A grocery store, so that I wouldn't starve to death. |
| southernyankee | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 4-May-2007 5:35pm yeah, and they also have a dressing room and the outdoor section which you could use to sleep. |
| romkey | posted 4-May-2007 5:58pm I'd quit the contest. It sounds like a stupid waste of my time. |
| cerealkiller | posted 4-May-2007 5:58pm Locked in? Is food provided? Bed? No contact with the outside world?
If I were back home I'd say Marshall Field's in downtown Chicago - many floors, just about everything. |
| RGirl | posted 4-May-2007 6:05pm Bookstore, Borders. |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to southernyankee) posted 4-May-2007 6:30pm > yeah, and they also have a dressing room and the outdoor section which
> you could use to sleep. It would work for me and all I need is a boyfriend to spend the time with me he he |
| Enheduanna | posted 4-May-2007 7:39pm A good book store, with a cafe in it. Vroman's in Pasadena would do nicely. |
| cloudhugger | posted 4-May-2007 8:56pm Sears. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to RGirl, Enheduanna) posted 4-May-2007 8:57pm YAY!!! |
| Enigma | posted 4-May-2007 8:58pm I can't imagine being forced to do this. I hate malls. |
| llamamama | posted 4-May-2007 9:47pm Walmart..or something similar...it's got everything. |
| LindaH | posted 4-May-2007 10:07pm A superstore, mostly groceries, but with beds and clothes.
I wonder, will the liquor section be locked? |
| Iseult | posted 4-May-2007 10:50pm An upscale, overpriced grocery store. Those have food, and then will have stuff like TVs, DVDs, and other knicknacks. |
| bill | posted 4-May-2007 11:00pm Bloomingdales, I guess... a big department store anyway. |
| bill | posted 4-May-2007 11:02pm Oh crap, I'm probably going to starve, or be forced to eat Bloomindale's gift foods. |
| LindaH | (reply to bill) posted 4-May-2007 11:03pm Fancy chocolate and cheese in a tin box? |
| bill | (reply to LindaH) posted 4-May-2007 11:30pm for a month! |
| Galomorro | posted 4-May-2007 11:40pm The Apple Store. Then I wouldn't have to be without the Internet all that time. |
| they | posted 4-May-2007 11:43pm Target.
Because I like to shop there.... and there's variety - which will keep me busy for a month. |
| falkensmaze | posted 4-May-2007 11:43pm I guess I'd go for a Walmart super store too. The only thing lacking is a shower, but I could rig a bath up using a wading pool. |
| kirst | posted 4-May-2007 11:49pm I wouldn't. Seriously. |
| Tommyturtle40 | posted 5-May-2007 12:04am Not sure, I know it would have to be like a super walmart or a super target, due to they have food i can eat, then when I get bored I could open a movie and watch it on one of the tvs. |
| docgbrown | posted 5-May-2007 1:08am Wally world as it has almost everything. |
| RGirl | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 5-May-2007 2:49am Honestly, I could disappear in a good bookstore for a month. |
| mve17 | posted 5-May-2007 6:52am Asda baby.. they have food, clothes, toiletries.. how much fun could one person have... |
| jettles | posted 5-May-2007 7:31am so without any explanation of what i get to do in that store and why i would want to stay in a store!!!!! it is hard to say. do i get to keep stuff from the store or just use stuff from the store?? this is not very well explained and a month in any store would be boring!
so a few possible reasons.......... i would stay a month in a motorcycle dealership store and ride all the motorcycles to my hearts content or if i can have them, take some home. otherwise maybe best buy or circuit city so i can play with all the electronics and then take some home. i still think a month would be boring and i wouldn't enter the contest. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to RGirl) posted 5-May-2007 8:22am next survey...."How long could you live in a bookstore?" |
| Zang | posted 5-May-2007 2:13pm Real Canadian Superstore, because they sell pretty much everything. I'm guessing that I get to make use of the products in the store, eat the food etc. Otherwise, I wouldn't much care.
So what do I win? ...and why is this "family"? |
| Biggles | posted 5-May-2007 5:26pm It would have to be somewhere with a healthy selection of food - the only place I can imagine having enough variety of food to last me a month is a supermarket. Not sure where I would sleep though |
| gambler | posted 5-May-2007 5:30pm Probably something like a Walmart........ which has everything |
| Cain | posted 5-May-2007 5:32pm Borders. I'm sure I could survive of the tea and muffins they serve, they have nice toilets and I could quite easily entertain myself reading books for a month, |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Biggles) posted 5-May-2007 5:34pm > It would have to be somewhere with a healthy selection
> of food - the only place I can imagine having > enough variety of food to last me a month is a > supermarket. Not sure where I would sleep though > I would imagine getting packages of toilet paper and making a bed on that. |
| Biggles | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 5-May-2007 6:03pm Hmm, that could work. There is a clothes section at my local supermarket - maybe I could throw enough of those on the floor to make a bed. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Biggles) posted 5-May-2007 6:08pm The problem with that, is the clothes are treated for shelf life (moths I guess) and the constant breathing in of those fumes may make you ill. If the mart had a washing machime, if you could wash them fisrt that would be ideal! Oooh! Furs!! |
| Biggles | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 5-May-2007 6:18pm No washing machines, and also the risk of unexpected buttons on the garments |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Biggles) posted 5-May-2007 6:39pm oooh, buttons...owie...zippers...yikes......I picked a store that doesn't sell food by the way, what was I thinking? |
| Biggles | posted 5-May-2007 6:45pm What do they sell? |
| LJD | posted 5-May-2007 9:54pm IKEA |
| CarolL | posted 6-May-2007 4:59am A WalMart store that has groceries. I could cook, watch t.v., use the phone and take over the McDonalds that's in there, too. There are books, toys and better furniture that I have at home. Plus, I'd win the contest. |
| ultamate | posted 6-May-2007 10:06pm Super Wal-Mart or super K. I don't think I'd be alone though...our Wal Mart is open 24 hours a day. |
| FordGuy | posted 7-May-2007 8:20am Sears. Tools. Cool tools. |
| Luke777 | posted 7-May-2007 2:46pm Bass pro. Love to hunt & fish. Plus they have a cafe & a clothing section & outdoor area. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 7-May-2007 4:30pm Super Walmart... Man the toys, and all the goodies there to play with... and lots of food to eat... Let me at it... |
| Jody | posted 8-May-2007 12:49pm Borders - books AND a nice cafe. |
| filiasan | posted 9-May-2007 4:20pm Target. It has everything I need. |
| icurok | posted 10-May-2007 12:41pm What are the rules? Do I have to pay for anything I use within the store or do I have free access to all their products whilst I am a resident? |
| LindaH | posted 10-May-2007 1:06pm The store I picked has an electronics section with CDs and stereos, and the store is real big. I'd be playing CDs loud and seeing how far away I could still hear them. |
| Amanda | posted 11-May-2007 3:08pm Wal-Mart...because it's got everything I'd need to survive for a month.
A close second would be a porn shop. |

| krazykatlady | posted 18-May-2007 12:28am Wal-Mart would have nearly everything I needed. |
| Biggles | (reply to they) posted 19-May-2007 7:37am There are some supermarkets with small clothes, electricals, toys and household goods aisles. I've never seen one with furniture or large electricals like dishwashers. |
| Melf | posted 20-May-2007 9:46am If I get food independantly: Fopp so I had music and books.
If I don't: Marks and Spencers |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 1-Jun-2007 6:35am Fred Meyer. They have groceries, camping equipment, paper products like paper towels & tp, a home electronics section, books, magazines, DVDs, etc. They have nearly everything a Super Wal-Mart does, but they aren't open 24/7, which means there wouldn't be a lot of people in the store at night when I'm trying to sleep. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 28-Jun-2007 1:14pm I guess target...... they have everything. My initial thought was walmart, but that place is kinda dirty |
| rubylillysue | posted 31-Oct-2007 9:00am Tesco's as it has everything |
| calsgirl2008 | posted 15-Mar-2008 5:26pm I WOULD CHOSSE WAL-MART CAUSE I LOVE IT AND IT'S ALREADY MY 2ND HOME |
