Personality, always. If you have a good personality you're lucky, lucky, LUCKY. Looks don't last and they don't really count for much. People tend to look beyond a pretty face.

Personality I would have to go along with because our looks will not buy us a plane ticket

Personality, definitely. Looks get you so far, of course, but few high achievers get by on beauty alone, even in the movies: beautiful women like Reese Witherspoon, Claire Danes, Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller, Liv Tyler are highly talented actresses gifted with magnetic personalities, and would not be successful otherwise. Most of the cinema's most treasured stars such as Robert de Niro and Al Pacino are not strikingly handsome. And those that are like Brad Pitt, Leo DiCaprio and George Clooney are talented and charismatic as well. Beautiful people have to prove themselves, possibly more than most. Sadly, many gifted artists who've been both beautiful and magnetic have actually been hampered by beauty, and so failed to live up to their promise as a result with tragic consequences.

Your looks might start something, but if you have no personality, you'll get no where fast.
No one likes to be around people who are about as interesting as a pet rock. But someone as attractive as one..well...

Personality because looks can backfire (eg: jealous people stabbing you in the back).

I think it's personality. There are a lot of great looking people but we're all jealous of them so we don't really end up liking them as much as they think. Personality does a little more, I think.

Other. It depends where this is at. If it is in a small town personality all the way. If we are in the city where shallowness and greed are key, than looks will kick personality's ass anyday.

Personality, ultimately. Looks are good for first impressions, but just have a look at some of the world's great do-gooders.

Both, but if I had to say one or the other... I'd say personality.

Both actually, but that isn't what is being asked. I'd say personality comes first though.

In this world, much is luck, being in the right place, at the right time. Unfortunately, at first looks gets you in the door, but personality can depend on whether a person can hold that position. On longevity, the personality wins out.

Personality - though looks can certainly help (or hinder).

I'd say both. But a fudgeed up persona can make a good looking person ass ugly.

No matter what weve all had heartbreak from relationship and if you... Are good looking when you apply for a job, and if it's the opposite sex they will be attracted to you and you will be hired. It's as simple as statistics.

Fair enough if you want to be a model or something you need your looks but apart from that i think that your personality gets you alot further in life than your looks do. In life you must comunicate with people to get where you want to, you could be the most beautiful person ever but if your a dog people or not going to want to know you the people who are polite and kind and are basically very nice people are going to get more life oportunities than good looking people who are horrible.
