Not at all! It's grossly underrated and discounted, and seen as something fleeting or something you have to work hard to get.
People would be much happier in general if they would just quit thinking like that.

No.... why all the happiness surveys all the sudden? Is someone not feeling loved?

I wouldn't put it that way, but I think there's some truth to this. I'd put it more like: you don't have to be happy all the time. It's OK to be sad or angry or whatnot. It's all part of life, ups and downs. Happiness is nice, but you can't be happy all the time, and you need some unhappiness to make happiness feel significant.

No. It is a basic human desire. Unfortunately our perception of whether or not we are happy at any given time is skewed. We can choose to be happy at any given moment. We just forget to do this.

Yeah. Life sucks 90% of the time, with occasional happiness for the other 10% just so you don't kill yourself or everyone around you. Killers come from those who only get 9% or less happiness.

Why does life suck 90% of the time? What makes it suck? Other people or circumstances?

Both - other people, circumstances, the weather, work, etc.

No. Happiness is underrated if anything

No. But I could see that it would be over rated from someone who refuses to acknowledge happiness exists.

When other people are jerks I consider the source and think to myself that they can't help not being very smart. Then ignore them.

You can't ignore someone you live with who is in your face 80% of the time, yelling, insulting, angry.

But I think people need to realize that they are in charge of their own happiness. They can chose to dwell on the bad or chose to live life to the fullest and take the good with the bad and grow from it
