| RGirl | posted 19-Apr-2007 11:53pm It is under rated. |
| LindaH | posted 19-Apr-2007 11:55pm Not at all! It's grossly underrated and discounted, and seen as something fleeting or something you have to work hard to get.
People would be much happier in general if they would just quit thinking like that. |
| cabinfever | posted 20-Apr-2007 2:36am No.... why all the happiness surveys all the sudden? Is someone not feeling loved? |
| bill | posted 20-Apr-2007 7:13am I wouldn't put it that way, but I think there's some truth to this. I'd put it more like: you don't have to be happy all the time. It's OK to be sad or angry or whatnot. It's all part of life, ups and downs. Happiness is nice, but you can't be happy all the time, and you need some unhappiness to make happiness feel significant. |
| thecomic22 | posted 20-Apr-2007 10:35am I guess. |

| Cain | posted 20-Apr-2007 1:04pm God no.
Happiness is what I strive for. |
| mandy | posted 20-Apr-2007 2:16pm No. It is a basic human desire. Unfortunately our perception of whether or not we are happy at any given time is skewed. We can choose to be happy at any given moment. We just forget to do this. |
| cerealkiller | posted 20-Apr-2007 6:52pm Yeah. Life sucks 90% of the time, with occasional happiness for the other 10% just so you don't kill yourself or everyone around you. Killers come from those who only get 9% or less happiness. |
| romkey | posted 20-Apr-2007 6:55pm Only by people who aren't happy. |

| cerealkiller | (reply to Lahdee) posted 23-Apr-2007 5:07pm Both - other people, circumstances, the weather, work, etc. |
| Venetian2416 | posted 24-Apr-2007 12:49pm No. Happiness is underrated if anything |
| cloudhugger | posted 24-Apr-2007 5:05pm No. But I could see that it would be over rated from someone who refuses to acknowledge happiness exists. |
| Lahdee | (reply to cerealkiller) posted 25-Apr-2007 11:36am > Both - other people, circumstances, the weather,

| cerealkiller | (reply to Lahdee) posted 25-Apr-2007 1:55pm You can't ignore someone you live with who is in your face 80% of the time, yelling, insulting, angry. |

| gazelda1 | posted 2-May-2007 8:04am But I think people need to realize that they are in charge of their own happiness. They can chose to dwell on the bad or chose to live life to the fullest and take the good with the bad and grow from it |
| Psychopath | posted 4-May-2007 7:36pm No how could happiness be overrated? That's idiotic. |
