When I first got one, I watched it a few inches back. I exploded eggs, and put a can of tuna in a bowl, and watched it pop like popcorn. I got board of that and I dont watch it any more. |

So far I'm the only one who presses my face up against it...Maybe it is so wrong after all 
If you cook a sponge cake in the microwave (not ideal, but I have been in situations where I had no access to an oven) then you have to watch it very closely or you end up with biscuit. |

It depends..if it's for a long time, then I go do other things, but if its only a minute or three, I lean against the sink across the kitchen and watch it... |
