Not really. Most of the graffiti I see are nothing more than the guy's tag. In effect, it's nothing more than a branding exercise, with no real message attached to it. If at least there were a message, I would be less inclined to see it as an insignificant act of vandalism. |

Yes. Mostly it makes me think "What?"
There was one across the street from us that said "Viet 4 life." My SO and I thought it was particularly funny. |

I think, somebody has too much time on their hands. |

I can recall, back in the eighties, seeing this one and a businessman was walking by reading it at the same time, and I saw him doing a bit of a double take. It made an impression on me:
If voting could change the system, it would be illegal

All of it makes me think. Mostly I think "What the hell is that about?" I'm sure I've seen things that really made me think, but nothing comes to mind. |

Yes. It was a naked person, and I thought 'Oh they're naked..' |

I was the culprit along with some friends on an abandoned house we painted stuff. One thing was "I saw your mommy...." from a song by Suicidal Tendencies.
I saw your mommy and your mommy's dead
I watched her as she bled
That was about when my hair was a weird light colored orange and standing on end, lots of black eyeliner, possibly even black lips. Who says white kids don't do graffiti? |

Yes it makes me think what a bloody mess it makes of the wall. I don't see anything prophetic about writing "Tuna" all over the city. |

In SF there was a guy who was famous for the horses he painted all over. I saw them all the time. even inside the subway. |

No.... I've seen a lot of graffiti, but it's always just been gang bullcrap or some kid's love declaration on an overpass. |

There was a lot of Banksy in Oxford - some of which was pretty interesting. There are a couple of bits in Liverpool too that I've spotted. |

Yes..Every time I see graffiti I think "what a dumb ass" about the one who did it... Because all the "writing on the wall" I have seen has been crap...
Although I did see "For a good time call XXX-XXXX" once and did wonder what she looked like... |

Yes. Usually it's something like 'What the hell does this say?' |

Yes. I was in Rome during the Kuwait war and there was Anti-American grafiti, so as an American, and proud of it, it make me think, "what the heck am I doing here!" |
Kristal_Rose | | posted 28-Mar-2007 5:26am |
Yes, I've had grafitti stop me cold and thinking for days, but not in recent years, and I don't recall what had moved me before. |
