| Amanda | posted 12-Mar-2007 11:14pm I don't have a favorite dream. |
| RGirl | posted 12-Mar-2007 11:18pm Yes. I was about a huge garden with beautiful lush green, and vibrant colored flowers. Blue sky, warm air, slight breeze, sunny. It was surreal and I was just so amazed by it. I've never had a dream that intense visually. The dream actually ended on a sour note but that part was unbelievable. |
| cloudhugger | posted 12-Mar-2007 11:31pm Yes. It was at a time when I was under an enormous amount of stress. My dream consisted of me speeding up a mountain road in a convertable. The more the road curved and the higher it went, the faster I drove up it. All of a sudden the car careened off the top of the cliff and was falling straight down towards my doom. I was in the car panicking seeing the ground coming closer and closer when I heard a voice say "let it go!" So I quickly unbuckled the seat belt and felt the car seperate from me like a heavy load fell from my shoulders. The car fell and crashed on the ground below while I was safe in the air. It was very real, I can still feel the weight fall away from me and feel light as air.
I like it because it's an easy one to interpret. |
| LindaH | posted 13-Mar-2007 12:31am Yes. I was in the kitchen making a sandwich |
| Zang | posted 13-Mar-2007 12:42am I always liked that one where everyone is naked except me. And they don't seem to notice that anything is amiss. They're all nonchalant, going about their business...naked people...I used to have that one all the time. I suppose it's a common one. |
| bill | posted 13-Mar-2007 8:43am When I was a kid, I had this dream... I think more than once... where it was night, where I lived, in a suburban neighborhood. The sky was glowing and everyone came out of their homes to see it. I sometimes wonder if it was a dream or if it really happened. |

| Irene007 | posted 13-Mar-2007 6:57pm No... I remember many and they all seem to involve a public washroom that lacks privacy but to be frank, I haven't any of those in a while... |

| LindaH | (reply to lildonz07) posted 14-Mar-2007 11:41am I liked it when it happened. I was interrupted by someone I greatly admire. I'm in Alaska |
| mandy | posted 14-Mar-2007 2:34pm Yes. In my dream he wasn't a drug addict and we lived happily ever after |
| they | posted 14-Mar-2007 2:58pm There are some that still linger.
Nothing really 'favorite' about them. |
| Galomorro | posted 14-Mar-2007 10:16pm Yeah, visiting certain stairway-streets that look either like nothing I've ever seen in reality, or different from the real one it's supposed to be. Also skimming speedily through and atop large bodies of water. Flying low over a city is good too. |
| Cain | posted 15-Mar-2007 7:11am Yes! The dream I had last night was brilliant - superhero on a horse. I think I actually swore when I was woken up mid-dream. |
| filiasan | posted 15-Mar-2007 4:39pm I've had a few dreams that were so fantastic that I combined them to make an unusual story. |
| Enigma | posted 15-Mar-2007 11:09pm Yes but it was a vision really and not a dream. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 16-Mar-2007 7:57am Ones in which nature is conscious and helpful. |
| lildonz07 | (reply to LindaH) posted 16-Mar-2007 10:31am Ohhh whos that then? Wow alaska iv`e always wanted to go there so what is it really like in alaska? |
| LindaH | (reply to lildonz07) posted 17-Mar-2007 12:41am It's freezing cold in winter, real pretty though. Summers are nice!
|
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to lildonz07) posted 17-Mar-2007 3:45am It doesn't feel as cold as other places that are hardly as cold but damp though. The Auroras are incredible, like glow-in-the-dark rainbows slowly belly-dancing from horizon to horizon at times. The quietness is awesome. You can hear things like snowmobiles miles away. The air is incredibly pure unless you're in town where it can become an ice-smog.
In the summer, at 2am, you can still read a book by sunlight, but surprisingly it doesn't get as dark in winter as light in summer, so it still seems likes there is a day from 10am-4pm in the winter. You can hear bear and wolves in the neighborhood, and see moose wandering around. For a californian naturalist such as myself, it was still like a different world. The people are different there too. I noticed that even at the Seattle airport, you could tell the Alaskan natives not just by their beards and winter fat, but by the way they gazed as if looking off 200 miles into the horizon, rather than in a 6' perimeter. In the summer the swamps and creeks everywhere thaw and the air fills with a colorful variety of huge dragonflies and their state bird, the giant Alaskan mosquito. |
| Irene007 | (reply to Amanda) posted 18-Mar-2007 10:51am Apparently women have it most often. They also report that they toilets are often dirty and overflowing (not my case). They say that it's due to a lack of "me" time; that you're forever doing something for someone else so when it comes time for you to have privacy (toilet), you have to clean it first or in my case, the door won't close, the stall is too short, the curtain is ripped, there are no stalls... I have every one of those dreams and more!
I haven't had any in a long time now; maybe it's because I'm really living for myself these days yet I'm very busy!! |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Irene007) posted 18-Mar-2007 11:51am Perhaps it's simpler than that, and is more about the chore of scrubbing toilets being more common for women.
When I become a workaholic (even something as calm a computer proramming), and set aside any other personal pleasures, I end up having unrestful sleep where I'm back at my first job, feverishly cooking hamburgers all night. |
| Amanda | (reply to Irene007) posted 18-Mar-2007 2:03pm I've had one several times where I go in and it's just a big room of toilets. No stalls. No curtains. No anything. Interesting what it means.
Good for you for living for yourself. |
