I'm putting off big stuff, I'm okay with it, but I'm not okay with the fact I'm okay with it. On the other hand, I take objection to my own objection, so it's all good.

Yes.

Plenty of things. I have three labs I should be working on. Readings for three courses. I need more sources for my paper. I also need to start thinking up ideas for my article reviews.
I spent whole day today driving around with my friend and eating out at various places.

I'm putting out sorting through a CSS problem for the theme I've been working on for a blog. I want to get this done so that I can release the blog, which is about software development issues. I want the blog done so that I can use it to write up some stuff I'm encountering as I work on the software I'm really trying to work on, and make a few cents from it. I'll also port the theme over to the other two blogs I keep. Not having this working is effectively stopping me from doing the software work I want to do, although if I can't get the CSS for this blog working I probably won't get the CSS for the other projects working, either.

I don't hate CSS as much as I hate the different ways in which different web browsers interpret it. Internet Explorer is so fundamentally broken in its CSS support that it's painful.

Hi bill! Obviously I haven't been around for awhile, and you've been making improvements. What does a Q next to someone's name mean? And what's the little check box for next to the "reply" link?
bill Survey Central Gold SubscriberTriple Gold Star Survey Creator
(reply to SueBee) posted 9-Mar-2007 3:39pm

The Blue Q 's mean they have qualified surveys recently. More info here: http://surveycentral.org/Qualifiers.html ( you can click the Q icon next to someone's username to go to this page and see their stats - the same is true for stars and subscriber cards). Hovering your mouse over the icons should give you a quick description as well.

The checkboxes in Surveys, next to each comment, allow you to reply to multiple people. Just click each person you want your comment to be in reply to and submit it...

It's nice to see you around again. How is your SO? (she was sick, last I heard)

Cool! You are always coming up with the greatest ideas.

Ellen is doing great! Thanks for asking. She wasn't sick, per se, but having difficultly healing after some surgery complications. It took seven-and-a-half months and three surgeries, but she is finally all healed! Now we are looking forward to doing the things we couldn't do last summer -- camping, canoeing, swimming, hiking. I'm so happy the weather is warming up! It's looking like spring around here, with flowers blooming and trees starting to turn green. *smile*

How are you and Jen doing?
caviartaste
posted 9-Mar-2007 11:25pm

i should be:
decluttering my house
cleaning out stuff to get ready for a spring yard sale
going back to Curves regularly
pruning out the monkey grass in my yard
cutting my grass
planting some new shrubs and various yard plants for spring
digging up some old stumps in the yard we killed in the fall
water-proofing an area in my basement that has a small leak
having a gutter installed on the side of my house that contributes to said leak
finishing stripping the baseboards in my hallway with paint removal gun
painting the hallway
getting estimates on painting the house
getting estimates on remodeling the kitchen
deciding which project between those two biggies to tackle first

I know that starting tomorrow morning - i will start chipping away at some more of this ....but GOD....it seems like so much....i am just SO OVERWHELMED right now.....
my dog is dying and my mother just had a total knee replacement surgery so I've been taking care of BOTH of them....and did i tell you guys that i just got a new job in another department at my company? I don't even know when I will start yet. My current department is at a disadvantage b/c i am the only one who really does what i do - so it could be a long time before they let me transition to the new position. I will have to train my replacement.
I've been holding it together pretty well, i think. Maybe i'm piling so much on so i won't have to think about all the changes? I dunno....it seems to help when i feel productive, but when I don't - it feels like too much. I'm trying to figure out how to get my balance back while maintaining a good steady flow of "something to keep me busy".
Does that make sense?
