What do you think of THE POLICE reuniting?

The 80s rock band The Police played the opening song at the Grammy Awards last Sunday, and later that evening played a media gig at the Whisky A Go-Go to announce their 30th anniversary tour. They haven't recorded an album since 1983's Synchronicity, and have not toured since 1984.

The were my favorite band when I was 12, 13 and I still love their music.
They will perform in The Netherlands in the fall. When the tickets aren't too expensive, I'll definitely try to see them.

I guess that sounds kinda cool. Although I am not a huge POLICE fan.

They knew and quit in 1985.
This is their 30th anniversary reunion.

From what I've heard, yes.
They'll just play their old songs. No new album or whatsoever.

I think Sting probably needs to make a mortgage payment... * wink *

I'm happy about it, though; maybe I'll find a couple of tickets to a show...

Doesn't matter to me, I'm happy for them though. No one should quit anything they enjoy doing until they are good and ready to quit.

You know what? I never really liked them. Their first album was okay. After that I just thought their lyrics were so juvenile. Everyone always went on about how great they were and how fantastic their lyrics were blah blah blah.... Yeah, that "walking on the moon" song was so prophetic. * rolls eyes *
I'm sure it will be great for those that liked them. I'm just not one of them. I liked Roxanne though. I used to love playing it when I dj'd at the bar. People would just go nuts singing to it.

I'm happy they're touring, but happier they're not charging arms and legs like The Eagles did.

I really couldn't give a rat's ass. I liked them okay back in the seventies. Not a lot, but they were okay for a pop band.
