I think tarot cards are pretty, and are fun to use, but I have never really believed that anything supernatural was going on while using them.

I'd like more bland options. I've had my cards read by myself (using a simple method from a book), by friends who were better at it, and by a professional in the back of "The House of Zodiac". All were fun and interesting and all got me thinking about my life in positive ways.

I read tarot cards, and so does my SO... I have had readings from 'professional psychics' and by people that didn't know what they were doing... I think I got more from the people who weren't charging me. I had my palm read and it wasn't too amazing. One lady held a notecard over a flame of a candle and explained to me what the sooty imprint told her... and that was pretty interesting... I still have the card. The only REAL experience I ever had with a psychic person was a woman who just sat down with me and held my hands... She was the only one that told me very straight forward things that were so true. She was not vague at all.

I had my palm read in Pike Place Market about 8 years ago. The guy was a flake. I couldn't even understand a word he said. $20 ...:(

The person who read my cards knew me very well, and was very aware of my personal situations and circumstances at the time. I believe that the cards gave him a way to organize his own thoughts about what he had been witnessing, and a set of metaphors by which to discuss his impressions.

I started reading cards when i was in highschool. it was months before i actually did a reading because all the stuff i read said to take it very seriously, anyhow some gal sitting behind me in speech class talked me into reading her cards, and my speech was going to be about tarot cards anyhow. I didn't even know her name she seemed a bit crabby and i was shy back then, but i read her cards and it was truly amazing with each card i knew things like she was double dating, and her parents wanted her to go back to the old guy, and on and on. i've been reading cards ever since.

**Halo: i was thinking about the charging thing myself, and on one side it seems to be wrong to charge for information that should be free, but on the other hand, what if they're really good at it, but instead of using their talent, have to work at a coffee shop instead. i've met several people who don't need cards at all, they just know all about you, like that you're wondering about having a pet and eating meat, or whatever stuff you've been thinking about lately.

My cards were read by a friend once, and it was kind of fun, but he didn't really know what the heck he was doing.

I find that tarot cards, as with horoscopes, seem to be kind of accurate for everybody all the time.

The only people who have read my cards are my mother who's reading's are at least more personalized then something in the newspaper, and my son whom when I tested him at the age of 13 during a bi-annual vacation, displayed advanced and accurate revelations into theosophy and abnormal psychology.
If anyone requests so, and there are no objections, i'll do petite readings within this survey.

I wasn't amazed, but it was very interesting and fun. She really knew what she was doing and suggested various interpretations based on what I told her was going on in my life. It was odd, I went in expecting her to try to guess my circumstances from the cards, but that isn't how it works. Instead she got my circumstances and then used the cards to evaluate them. It took almost an hour.

Now, I played with runes briefly, and they absolutely freaked me out, so I don't go touch them anymore.

I believe that divination tools like Tarot cards are a way of exploring your inside, that the cards aren't really special in and of themselves, it's what you make of them.

I've read tarot cards in the past. While I find they are not a tool for divination, they are a decent tool meditation and reflection on one's self.

Nothing is a decent tool for divination, because we can change the future. But they can reveal what will happen if things don't change.

It certainly applied to me, but it was so vague that it could have been taken to apply to just about everyone. Of the four of us who got our cards read that day, all four readings would have applied to me, and my friends said the same thing.
