Yes. Snooker has always been my game. I still have a custom made cue I got over 30 years ago. Time has warped it a bit though so it wouldn't be of much use now.

Yes I love pool. I grew up with a pool table in the basement. For my Confirmation dad gave me a "short cue" (mom wasn't impressed * laughing out loud * )
I've been told I'm pretty good too. * wink * My favourite game has always been 8 ball.

No, even though I've never done this, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't care for it.

I love it and sadly haven't had the chance for a while. I learned a lot from my two Ex Boyfriends and my current husband about the geometry of pool and that made it easy to learn.

I like to shoot pool, both eight-ball and nine-ball. But I've never played billiards. They are different games up here.

I have played pool before, but am lousy at it. When the children were young, we had a pool table, not the best, but one the kids played on for years. My oldest son has a very nice, regulation size pool table, and when we're at his home, the table is always being used....98% of the time by the fellows.

As far as I know pool and billiards are not the same thing, and I've never played billiards.
I like pool. I used to be good at it but not anymore.

I like shooting pool, and do so often. I prefer to shoot 9-ball over 8-ball. I'll play some 3-ball too, for money.

Yes, I like to.
I really hesitated I'm still nervous about when my Mary asked me this very question.
She asked if I liked to shoot pool, I said yes, so without any more interaction with me she told an acquaintence she would buy their pool table off of them. She thought it would be nice in the basement.
I didn't want to interfere with her 'dream' of owning a pool table so I kept my mouth shut. Happily for me, the deal fell through, so I didn't worry about it anymore. Than last week, she told me the pool table deal was again in the works. yikes.

I went back to the house, visually imagined a pool table down there and as I suspected, yes it would fit, but that could be the only thing that fit. I know she had other plans for down there and I'm sure she doesn't know how much room those tables take up, so I had to tell her without squashing what pool table dreams she had. I told her to think about it keping in mind that pool tables take up alot of room, and unless you are willing to forsake any other hobby or company for the space needed to play pool, than go ahead and get it.

I like tp play pool. I answered her truthfully as I am here. I don't love to play pool and I doubt she does either. I am thinking it will be down there used maybe 5 times a year and the other 70 weeks or so it will gather piles of stuff because it is a big flat table to set stuff on.
Anyone that has a pool table in their home and doesn't use it knows exactly what I mean, and they are a dog to get rid of.

You said it sister! Not only does the table have to fit but you need a lot of unrestricted room around that table. The only reason I have a pool table in my basement is because my stepmother unloaded it on me! It is most of the basement. I wanted to get rid of it, any time I played pool recently was at the pool hall, but husband didn't want to. So I just took up playing it at home again and I'm showing my daughter now.
Although, being thirteen, it's hard to teach her anything she doesn't already know. * rolls eyes *

 * laughing out loud * No surprise here about growing up with a table in the basement.
My dad, sister, mother and I played that table every day. I became pretty good, but my sister was very good. We played alot at the bars, but I couldn't win. The competition was very high. I had to stop playing because people would keep asking me to be their partners and I knew I wasn't good enough to win, and my date would have to keep paying them off. So becasue of the pressure, I stopped playing, and haven''t really played much since.

GET OUT OF TOWN! You should play, I'm not bad really. I used to win a lot. In fact, my instructor in Tae Kwon-Do told me to sit out some games with my partner because no one was having any fun... we kept winning all the time.

The right partner does make a difference. Sometimes I could play really well and we would win depending on my partner. I get really nervous sometimes.

Hey!!! How have you been? My computer went down on me, and I finally got a new laptop. I got thrown off a horse several months ago, I still have some pain in my lower back. Talk about being scared, now I'm afraid to get back on one. I also have a new guy in my life, we've known each other for a long time. Things are getting better, can't complain.

Yeah we had way too much fun playing though. Between the two of us the other teams were lucky to get one shot off. We'd high five each other over good shots and make comments like "that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!" and stuff. We were unstoppable. The only time we behaved was when we were playing the instructor and his girlfriend. Our instructor thought he was good (he wasn't) and his girlfriend was terrible. My partner would put his hand over his mouth and whisper to me "not a chance" even before she lined her shot up. Then we'd just quietly clear the table.
We were afraid our sixth degree black belt instructor would kick our ass next training session. Damn but that guy was the toughest.

That's great that things are getting better... sorry about the accident. But you can't let that scare you off. My mother gets tossed from time to time, and she's in her 50s. She had a bad one a few months ago that took her some time to get over, but she won't give up her horses.
Glad you're back.

Sometimes. Pool is one of those things where the fun-ness is more about the socializing than the game.

Very occasionally.

My parents have a pool table, so I could go over and play if I wanted... But I haven't played over there in 10 years.
