| LindaH | posted 7-Jan-2007 1:51pm I'd rather have modest financial security for the rest of my life, than obscenely eccessive extravagence for a fleeting week. Can I trade it in? |
| Melf | posted 7-Jan-2007 2:57pm |
| bill | posted 7-Jan-2007 2:59pm I already live like that. |
| Enigma | posted 7-Jan-2007 4:18pm Why the heck not I would take full advantage of all that was offered to me for that one week. I would also get my favourite musical group in and have a concert/party. I would also have a personal trainer for the week and try and keep up with the routine when I leave. |
| mandy | posted 7-Jan-2007 5:02pm I'd take it. |
| Zang | posted 7-Jan-2007 5:56pm Sure, I'd do it for a week. It might be amusing. I don't know about the television part. I don't watch television now. Why would I want to watch it while engaging in some kind of monarchial fantasy? |
| Iseult | posted 7-Jan-2007 6:18pm Sure. Sounds great.
Although I'd like to know what am I becoming a Queen of. |
| Biggles | posted 7-Jan-2007 7:17pm If the question is, would I accept....probably not - that sounds like the kind of thing I would hate. |
| hypersky | posted 7-Jan-2007 8:21pm This is about as weak a frame as I can imagine for an essay (what do you want me to answer, exactly?), but here goes:
If I were given the opportunity to be king for a week, I would seize it. My agenda would be to simply walk a mile in a royal's shoes and really see what lies behind the facade. Something tells me I would be extremely glad when the week was over because, from my vantage point, I feel that being a royal probably sucks. Give me humble means and anonymity any day. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 7-Jan-2007 9:40pm I would take the offer and be a Queen for a week and it would probably would be fun' |

> Although I'd like to know what am I becoming a Queen of. You will be the Queen of Ireland and offered all the luxuries you desire' Madam |
| LindaH | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 7-Jan-2007 9:53pm Yay. I'd fix me up a retirement plan. Then I might have a party, but no royalty allowed. Only Pheasants. Wheee! |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to LindaH) posted 7-Jan-2007 10:22pm > Yay. I'd fix me up a retirement plan. Then I might have a party, but
> no royalty allowed. Only Pheasants. Wheee! Yes a retirement plan is fine and the Queen says ok with this soo let the party and champagne or wine of your choice begin Yippeee"" Whooo Whooo"" Yippeee get down and boogy YEsssssssssssssss |
| cloudhugger | posted 7-Jan-2007 10:49pm I would make it a law that all pheasants finish their sentences, in a reasonable amount of time. |
| cloudhugger | posted 7-Jan-2007 10:52pm And than I would be so high up on a hill, I would probably sit up there and watch everything and see how the country hums along. |
| RGirl | posted 7-Jan-2007 11:51pm What's the question? |
| Enigma | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 8-Jan-2007 9:37am > I would make it a law that all pheasants finish their sentences, in
> a reasonable amount of time. Do you really mean Pheasants like the birds or do you mean peasants like the trod upon workers? Pheasants aren't finishing their sentences? Shocking! |
| cerealkiller | posted 8-Jan-2007 12:34pm What's the question?
Is it "Would you..?", or "What would you do?" or both? |
| Enheduanna | posted 8-Jan-2007 12:35pm I'm assuming the proper answer for accepting this deal is "yes." It sounds like fun! |
| Jody | posted 8-Jan-2007 12:48pm I'd accept, of course. |
| Iseult | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 8-Jan-2007 1:30pm Ireland's a good deal! |
| Irene007 | posted 8-Jan-2007 2:48pm I do that all the time! I call it vacation in a resort! |
| Maarten | posted 8-Jan-2007 3:23pm Being a king or queen includes a little more than getting food and beverages and watching television. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Enigma) posted 8-Jan-2007 5:41pm |
| jettles | posted 8-Jan-2007 7:37pm so that really isn't a complete question with the question mark on the end of it. if given the chance, what? even the explanation doesn't complete it!!! please answer what? would i take the opportunity? would i turn down the opportunity? |
| ausfox | posted 9-Jan-2007 5:20am Badly phrased. Not answering. |
| icurok | posted 9-Jan-2007 12:18pm If given the chance to read my answer to this question?
You are offered the chance to read my answer to this question, which would include what I would say or something like that Please answer in comments this is an essay |
| chumpsrock | posted 10-Jan-2007 1:53pm The offer is not appealing to me at all. I guess if I were to acccept it would be in order to ride the royal horses every day. I have no interest in large palaces or being separated from the commoners. |
| thecomic22 | posted 10-Jan-2007 2:34pm I'd get bored and go home before the week was up. |
| mross | posted 14-Jan-2007 4:35am Castles are drafty. |
| Cain | posted 14-Jan-2007 5:21pm Ignoring the questionable grammar, which I'm sure has been slated already - Yes, I would love to be Queen for the week and live in the Queen's Castle high upon a hill with food and beverages and all amenities included. |
| patarnone | posted 15-Jan-2007 2:05pm I studied castles and would love to live in one. |
| patarnone | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 15-Jan-2007 2:06pm > I would make it a law that all pheasants finish

| cloudhugger | (reply to patarnone) posted 15-Jan-2007 3:04pm damn it... |
| Enigma | posted 16-Jan-2007 12:19pm I can't believe this survey has such a poor rating after seeing some of the crappy one's that have passed lately that have well over 50%. At least this is colourful. |
| autumnlight | posted 20-Jan-2007 11:43am This makes no sense. |
