If you could have a recorder which would make a DVD or video tape of your dreams, would you use it?

Yeah. I don't remember many of my dreams, so this would help me to view what I'm presently missing and maybe help me understand how my mind works (or confirm that my mind doesn't work at all...)

Ohhhh yeesssss! Whatta trip! I would SO love something like this! To watch my wild dream imaginings on a DVD would be so cool. I would save up to buy such a device.

To be honest, I don't think it would be possible to do this. Dreams would be hard to turn into a video. They operate at a lower level in our brains, tapping into emotional pathways, and many others.

...but, I still said "yes", because you never know.

Yes. I had a particularly disturbing one the other night I wish I could remember all of. It wasn't a nightmare, but some sick things happened in it; at one point a girl was stood in this guy's appartment kitchen slicing fingers off a dismembered hand, and I was watching it like it was a film. There was even subtitles at one point.

Maybe I should go back to bed....

I would like to, but I would probably want to delete some dreams sometimes to.

no, that would be like watching something a freshman film student made while on drugs, consisted of 8 hours of static with random sound effects thrown in.

And then what if one of my dreams was a product of a few rouge brain cells with primal instincts dating back millinia that wanted to help Islamic terrorists or commit pedophila. I could then be thrown in prison under the Patriot Act because my subsubsubsubsubsubsubsubsubsubconconious wants to have sex with teenagers even though I am nothing like that.

Heck yeah, I'd use it! It would be very interesting to review my dreams. It would also be nice to be able to go back and see them if I've forgotten them after awakening.

No. I cannot think of a reason why I would need them on tape?
Anyway, dreams are something of mine that's very private. Having them in a format that allows other people to view them would ruin the whole thing. It's one thing me telling out about my dreams and another thing you being there.

Weird thing was, I didn't see it as a nightmare. It didn't scare me, but freaked me out quite a bit.

My kitchen dream was much more fun. I was trying to make a sandwich, but was interrupted pleasantly by someone I admire a lot!

Sure, I read in one of thoes far out science magazines several years back, that they were actually thinking of creating something very much like a vcr that would record your whole dream on vhs. hmm cool. Good survey.

Definitely.. I have had some really cool dreams... haunted houses,monsters, other wierd ones that would make an awesome movie or I could use the recording to write a cool novel... so yes I would love it.. My dreams would make Clive Barker, Stephen King, Poe or Lovecraft run screaming for safety.. Man what awesome movies and novels they would make... The ultimate horror...although I have had some comedy and adventure ones too...
