There's some trick I can do to make it regionless, but I haven't bothered, yet.

Our DVD players in Hong Kong are modified to play all regions.

In the US, our DVD players are Region One.

I have two. The first one is region one. The second one plays region one and two. I don't know if it plays anything else since I don't have anything else I can try on it. My laptop DVD player can be changed but only limited number of times. There is a way to bypass that but I don't care much.

I think it's just 'multi-region'. Is that the same as regionless?

No idea. I had a look at it and it has all kinds of verbiage all over it but nothing about this. It mentions "Canada", where I live and where it is suppose to adhere to certain regulations. It also mentions "China", where it was made.
