Myself. You should be smart enough to know what to put in your body. |

Somewhat biased choices...in my opinion...except for parents. Let the truth be told! Trust yourself, it's your body. |

Whoever chose elected officials and politicians must be ingesting crack. I wonder who told them to. |

I think people have to take charge of their own health. I avoid prescribed medicine like the plague. I try to avoid cola, or sport drinks because they're loaded with corn syrup of which I am allergic...causes weight gain. I'm a blood type O, therefore wheat and corn do something to my insulin use in my body.
I do go to an accupuncturist/herbologist, chiropractor, holistic clinics....would turn to allopathic medicine in emergency care, lack of oxygen. Otherwise I rarely go to the "regular" doctor.
I think it's a disgrace regarding the chemicals that are put in our food, into the air, our water. I feel the refined foods are empty foods. But, I have, as others, become "hooked" on junk foods, i.e. chips, pretzels, so on. I don't eat them very often, but still eat them on occasion......not a good thing.
I think there has to be a conscience raising when it comes to the food industry. And water, so precious to us, we need to guard it. |

just myself, i would trust my physician and some of my friends but not necessarily my elected officials, employers and definitely not corporations. |

The Police cannot help us make the right decisions, you would only be arrested and tossed into a jail cell why did you put down Police on this survey and elected officials should not be involved with medications we take on daily basis |

And the police what have they got to do with me taking my medications on a daily basis and yes elected officials as well I hope Zang can explain this one and strangers is a wierd one as well they have no right in my decisions |

Actually I was inspired to do this survey based upon another Forum I use. Someone posted something about legalising all drugs and there were a bunch of people opposed to the idea but none of them seemed to be able to back up their arguments with much in the way of logic or evidence. It sounded more like panic and hysteria. Given that up until about a hundred years ago there weren't any laws around these issues and now that there are there seems to be more problems than ever...makes you kind of wonder...
I think most people, when it comes down to themselves, probably think they are the best judge of what substances they should or shouldn't consume. People only seem to want the government to intervene when it comes to other people's lifestyles. |

I trust everyone and anyone except the local Mexican restaurant. I get an upset stomach every time I've eaten there. I don't go there anymore. |

Myself, medical practioners (sometimes), and corporations (sometimes). We wouldn't buy our food at the store if we didn't trust the corporations that make it, now would we?
How come "my dealer" wasn't on the list? |
Galomorro | | posted 27-Oct-2006 8:23pm |
Myself and "someone else." The "someone else" would be reading about the substances in various magazine or flyer articles, including literature from natural food stores; books; on the Internet; and word of mouth from a friend or acquaintance. I would never trust corporations, elected officials, employers, police, my parents, nor even medical practitioners for some things. |

I favor the legalization of all drugs.

I don't know how any rational person, that takes the time to really investigate and research the issues involved, could come to any other conclusion. Besides, what business is it of the government to decide these things for us? It seems like a pretty basic freedom to me.
If we were to apply this sort of logic to other things, why don't they make cars illegal? Cars hurt people. Cars kill people. How about skiing? Skydiving? Scuba diving? Dangerous activities, someone could get hurt... |

Well, I made it up and that's what I did too! Is that any sort of reassurance?

I try to research alot of what I ingest myself only because I am a vegetarian. As I become more and more aware the more cautious I become. |

Mostly I trust myself, but I also listen quite a bit to my parents and friends about various things I ingest. I trust moveon.org when it comes to political information; they are always on top of things. |

No and the police really and truly cannot help us make our decisions regarding medications we take on a daily basis, and any illegal drugs we take , we could be arrested and taken to jail and the police only offer protection for us and help us in some matters and I do love cops I love the police and nothing against them, and they are not in the Mental Health field or no anything about medications we take and the police are not doctors |
