The number varies from year to year. I send cards to select family members, close friends, and a few choice others. I think I sent out about 30 or so last year.

When I was a kid, my mother used to send out hundreds of Christmas cards every year. I can remember helping her with the chore and thinking how arduous it was and asking her how the whole thing started. She said that someone sends you a card and you add them to your list and the list just keeps getting longer every year. I swore then that if anyone ever sent me a Christmas card the last thing I would do is encourage them by sending one back.

I don't do that cheeky thingy where you go round and collect the money, though, that's just sad.

I am lucky enough to send out 2 or 3 Holiday cards and that is it and I have had my cards returned to me by my rude and ignorant family

Well since I got my PC I can type out the address and paste it to the envelope. Otherwise it would take me all day or a day in a half.

75 was last years...I never know for sure til i sit down and write them all out...I don't mail them all..some I hand deliver with gifts. We have big families and many friends and those in our old church that have known us all our lives who think they are family. And then there are those who are so close we have adopted them as family...I have to budget just for postage.

Printing cards on the computer would be soo cool and there are just so many things we can do on our computers it is endless and it gets me tired so easy, and I will someday watch movies on my computer if I stay awake long enough

No. Don't send any, don't get any. I think that is a pretty much extinct ritual. When I was a kid my parents sent and received at least a 100. Taped them up on the door frames.
