| Enheduanna | posted 4-Oct-2006 2:06pm Yes; I was very involved in drama productions in high school; I was in four or five plays and three musicals. I was in one play in college as well. |
| LJD | posted 4-Oct-2006 3:06pm Yes, when I was in high school. |
| Frostbrand | posted 4-Oct-2006 3:11pm Not a play, but I've been on stage. |
| Enigma | posted 4-Oct-2006 3:19pm Yes I was in a play in grade six. |
| Enigma | posted 4-Oct-2006 3:20pm Why such a low rating? |
| bill | posted 4-Oct-2006 3:47pm yes, in grade school... more of a musical, though. |
| romkey | posted 4-Oct-2006 4:15pm Yes. |
| RGirl | posted 4-Oct-2006 5:01pm In elementary school, a couple of times. Nothing major. But I remember putting powder in this kids hair. His name was Jay Jay. He was only supposed to hold the horn to his lips but he accidentally blew in it out of nervousness. It was kind of funny. |
| ausfox | posted 4-Oct-2006 5:19pm Yes, lots through school. I danced in an eisteddfod in front of 5000 people, that was the biggest one. |
| Amanda | posted 4-Oct-2006 5:45pm I was in a couple of school plays. |
| Zang | posted 4-Oct-2006 6:11pm As far as I recall, at least once a year when I was in elementary school. In grade six, I co-wrote and directed at least a couple of plays and had small roles in those as well. We also did skits in cubs and scouts. Those were pretty close to improv, we would prepare something and do it in a matter of minutes.
In the 1980s, when I was in my twenties, I used to do a lot of performance art...which is a lot like a play...that's about it... |
| kirst | posted 4-Oct-2006 6:24pm Of course. |
| Melf | posted 4-Oct-2006 6:28pm Yes, when I was nine and when I was twelve. |
| dab | (reply to FordGuy) posted 4-Oct-2006 7:33pm For all the world's a stage... |
| TheNarnian | posted 4-Oct-2006 7:37pm I have appeared in several plays...mostly church plays but these from about age 7 to 17 |
| CarlHalling | posted 4-Oct-2006 8:05pm Yes, many, many times. I went to acting school in 1978, and was an actor on and off approximately between 1979 and 1998, when I appeared in my last play. Since then, I've been more of a singer, singer-songwriter, but I recently auditioned for a part in an indie movie, and may well act again. Stage work though? I'm not sure...it can be very hard work, and I'm getting old... |
| gambler | posted 4-Oct-2006 8:52pm Yes at school, xmas nativity plays |
| The_DeathstalkR | posted 5-Oct-2006 1:35am yes, in drama in school, and i am probably going to start a band when i am a little better at guitar |
| ROCKMAN | posted 5-Oct-2006 6:06am Yes, when I was about 7 or 8 and I hated it.It was something the whole class had to be part of. |
| icurok | posted 5-Oct-2006 7:37am Yes, many times. |

| cabinfever | (reply to FordGuy) posted 5-Oct-2006 11:40pm > Haven't we all? Think about it.
I can tell you without having to think that no, I have not. |
| cloudhugger | posted 6-Oct-2006 2:52am In high school I was in a few plays. |

| Kristal_Rose | posted 13-Oct-2006 6:14am When younger, I was a double, learning all the parts to the Christmas play, but no one got sick. I was Peter-Pan when I was five. I've taken tons of theater dance and acting classes, but only performed for class. My stage props got to appear in large productions though.
I lecture on the radio a lot as a call-in guest though. Oh wait, I was an actor in the Renaissance Faire for four years, where I suppose the whole Faire is considered a stage. |
| deedeedee | posted 2-Nov-2006 12:12am Yes, in grade school. |
| kitti723 | posted 3-Nov-2006 6:56pm I was the narrator at my Thanksgiving Day play in 5th grade. |
| MiniMary | (reply to kitti723) posted 22-Nov-2006 5:52pm I bet you had to learn a lot of lines. I think, once, I was a turkey in Kindergarden for Thanksgiving and only had to say, "gobble". But I must admit, I said it best. |
| patarnone | posted 26-Nov-2006 7:02pm Yes, I was Snow White. We put on plays every summer but I starred in that one.
When we lived in Walla Walla (SE corner of Washington state) I went to our Little Theater summer children's classes. I did this for 4, maybe 5 years. Both my parents were extremely active in Little Theater, my Mother behind the scenes but my Father was all over! He had parts on a lot of plays and even did some directing and stage management stuff. Our Little Theater years are a joy for me to remember, even now. We use to have cast parties at our place. What wonderful and fun years we had! |
| autumnlight | posted 27-Nov-2006 4:52am Yeah, loads at school. Lots of singing parts as well. Not since school though. |
| Colleentg | posted 10-Feb-2007 3:11am High School plays. I loved them, but had a lot of stage fright! |
