No, not a full-time one. This place isn't big enough for that, and I like my privacy. I might hire a housekeeper to come in and clean a couple of times a month, though.

No, there wouldn't be enough for a full time maid to do.

I wouldn't want someone in my house full-time. We have someone that cleans every 2 weeks and that suits us well. We generally try to leave (it's loud and hard to work).

There wouldn't be enough work to keep a full time maid employed and if he/she was a live-in maid, no place to sleep either unless they wanted to sack out on the living room floor or in one of the bean bag chairs.

I'd feel guilty and try to help them and probably just get in their way in the process.

No, I would probably never hire a maid in this country. If I were living in a less developed country I might feel that it was my duty to hire a maid, but I would only have need of one part-time.

I would actually hire a part time one. Only have the maid when I need the maid.

No. I'm not interested in having someone in my home all the time. I'm also a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my home, so it would end up causing me to stress out if they didn't do something just right. It's much easier for me to just do it myself.

No...but I wouldn't mind having a full time chef...who cooks healthy. After many years of cooking, I'd find a full time chef a real luxury. Maybe a housekeeper once a week would be nice, to do the deep cleaning. Years ago, when I did housekeeping for other people, I'd go in and do the deep cleaning once a week. I worked for three years, four days a week for a doctor. I did more than the deep cleaning. I did laundry, daily cleaning, did some cooking, repairing, ordering supplies for the house, had to oversee repairmen, and the poolman, changed bedding, cleaned their bedroom drawers, cleaned the refrigerator, cupboards, clean the patio, also helped serving at their parties, replace water softener...., the list goes on....also a mentor to their daughter. I finally quit for various reasons. .

No. I wouldn't be comfortable with this level of assistance, and I don't need it.

I don't know about a full time maid but yeah, I wouldn't mind having one once or twice a week to clean my house.

I'd probably only hire a part time one, unless I had people around all the time making a constant mess of the place.

Hell YES!! She wouldn't live here, though. Show up at 9, go home at 5 or 6.... and bring her own lunch! Unless I really like her and I'd occasionally make lunch. Though I do have to say that there probably wouldn't be enough to do to keep a full-time maid occupied... unless she also helped with the outside work.

Yes, If I could afford to have things that I want or need, I would buy them. Not in a materialistic sense, but viewing it from the framework of being able to afford the things I want. I hate cleaning my apt therefore if I could afford a maid I would hire one.

By the way, hello to all my old friends--- mandy and Dino, in my thoughts all this time! I am doing well... dropped the old crappy abusive husband, and found me a good man! I have a new 17 day old baby boy and am doing well. How are all of you guys???

Doing great here! Congrats on the new baby.
mandy and Dino don't come around much anymore, though they have both been on in the last week or so.

I don't like people in my home and would be afraid they'd dig in my stuff like I do when I'm at my sister's house but my boyfriend disagrees.

Oh, full time, only if she could be like a hired mom. I would prefer to hire a mom to take care of me. the kind of mom that would love unconditionally and not criticize me for making faces.

If I had a house the size of a mansion, yeah. Hell, I'd hire two. As it is, I think I can handle a flat with 5 rooms in it.

I'd be uncomfortable with a full-time maid (both having them around all the time/lack of privacy and the sheer waste of money involved), but to have someone who can help clean the house at regular intervals for a reasonable price would be great.

When both my husband and I were working full time, I needed one....but didn't get one. Now, I would in a minute.

I'd rather have a house cleaning service that would come out & give my apartment a thorough cleaning a few times a month instead of a maid. I like my privacy & wouldn't want someone in my home all day when I wasn't there.
