Over. I hate it being under. In fact, I used to change the roll over if it was hung under when I was at someone else's house. I cured myself of that though and I leave it alone now. Still has to be over at my house though. |

Over. You can hold the top with one hand and rip with the other, and you have control over how many sheets you tear off. If it is hung under and you hold the top, you never know where it's going to rip.  |

No. I doubt he even notices. He's only 7, so I'm sure it doesn't bother him one way or the other. I don't think he even puts on on going under purposely. It just happens that way. I shouldn't complain, though. At least he does change the roll! |

I wish I could teach Rick, my roommate to do that. He'll use the spare roll on the back of the toilet and then put it back there instead of putting it on the spindle. |

Over. Definitely over. I used to be an under fan but on our last boat, we had stainless steel flaps that hung over the roll. You had to put the toilet paper over in order to easily get paper. I totally switched to the over method after that. In fact, my husband changed the roll last night and hung it under. It annoyed me this morning but I have yet to change the roll to the over position. I'm happy that he changed the roll. |

I agree etiquette is not important, I was merely making a observation of what is "proper". Crap, I barely drive between 2 lines or stop at stop signs. Believe me, I do not follow the "rules" most of the time. |
