LOL is the only one because it just doesn't seem to express laughing out loud. It's like, deflated or something. Ooooo, lol. I don't get the feeling that are really laughing and some people use it inappropriately and I'm thinking what the heck are they loling about?

I like OMG, though.

I always pause with LOL. I first learned it as meaning "lots of luck" and so that's how I first parse it now. It seldom makes any sense that way.

Of those listed, Orly annoys me the most. I'm not a huge fan of rofl either. Are you really rolling on the floor laughing? No? Well don't bloody say that you are then!

I hadn't heard of a couple of these. Some of them seem really lame. But, none of them really bother me unless they're overly used.

Also, not on the list, but just as bad, when people add 'le' to the words or other attempts at French. You little crap, probably couldn't even locate France on a map that's showing France and its bordering countries, but you're attempting to mock the language.

I'll admit to being a little annoyed when people throw lol lol lol around constantly when there isn't even anything vaguely humourous going on.

I could've been worse. I went to this translation site and you could've picked the percentage of severity of the translation. I only did it up to 30%.

I don't really mind acronyms that much. Lol and wtf are fine in an IRC environment where keystrokes take time.

What really minds me up is the needless jargon and dialect, often derived from the vindication of common typos. 'The' becomes 'teh'. 'Owned' (which I hate anyway) because 'Pwned' (which I hate even more).

And since when does 'the' go between 'is' and an adjective (e.g "OMG Jessica Simpson is teh hot!!!1!1eleven"). That kind of crap gives me a twitch like Charles Dreyfuss.

Particularly when it is used to punctuate every third sentence. I think it's short-hand for "I'm a complete airhead."

I just found 456 examples, on this site alone!

I don't mind this sort of thing at all. Saying 'the sex', in any spelling, is intensely retarded.

I never heard of "Teh secks" which sounds pretty stupid. Yeah, that would annoy me if anything. What the hell is "the sex" supposed to mean anyway? I never heard of Orly (sounds like someone trying to say Bill Oreily) or ffs either.
