What does leet and I8 mean?

To the best of my understanding, leet is from "elite" and is some sort of super-gay self-referential hacker terminology that 13-year-old boys who think they're "hackers" apparently picked up on and started using. L8 just stands for "later" (l8r being another variant), I think. All the cutesy spellings and things that this survey is asking about are collectively referred to as "leet speak" (there's probably a cutesier way to type that out, but I've only ever heard the term spoken, not seen it written).

I play competive gaming (for money, or else I wouldn't waste my time) and internet terms are pretty funny to use and witness. I sometimes find myself using them in real talk, which is funny, because most of my friends recognize them. L8 (late) is just an "e-thug" way of saying "later." Same with "pz." It's a cocky way of saying "peace out" to someone.

Pwn/Own is just used when you're winning or beating someone (usually used in game).

I could have made this list ENDLESS with all the terms I hear.

Dropping "bombz" is another one.
