Have you ever seen a car with an ugly paint job?

A friend of mine is borrowing his mother-in-law's car while his is in the shop. It's a 1978 Volkswagen Rabbit, lime green with orange pinstripes & it's hideous.

Yeah. Someone in town (obviously Mexican) took a brand new cream colored Chrysler 300 gangsta mobile and had the hood, trunk and roof painted lime green.

I see a couple every day. Home-made jobs, done with spray cans, I think. You do the best you can with what ya got.

What I really don't like is cars with half-assed bondo jobs, where the car looks like its got leprosy or something. At least have the decency to sand and prime the damn thing.

Who hasn't seen an ugly car? I once saw a pimpmobile..... it was an old Falcon (I think) with heavily oxidized blue paint, but the inside was all orange shag on the front and back window dash and headrests, with orange-pink-and-green-striped beach towels for seat covers. Even had beads hanging from the rearview mirror and one of those hula girls dancing on the front dashboard. More ugly was the tassel trim hanging from the top of the windshield inside. To top off the whole thing, it had one of those illegal, chain-look steering wheels. It was so ugly you couldn't stop looking at it.
There is another car in town that is white with multicolored footprints all over it, and it says on the tail end 'Kritterized'. Whatever that means.

Yes. Ugly pea green old junker. And my friends crazy mom tried to spray paint their MG silver. Then she changed her mind and did it copper.

Probably, but I can't think of any at present.

The best paint jobs I've seen are the ones where the car changes colour depending on which way the light hits them.

Are you SURE it was the horn moo-ing?

Oh yeah, I was so embarrassed. When you pressed the horn, they had it hooked up to some sort of sound deal, and it mooed... I swear. It was also a stick which I had to drive cuz my sister didn't know how and she borrowed a car and I had just moved to SF and I had drive this piece of crap up these steep hills and floor it in first when at a stop to prevent it from rolling backwards due to the fact that I was not accustomed to driving in such steep conditions. It was scary because I would initially start rolling backwards when I released the clutch and pray I was far enough away from the person behind me not to hit them and then floor it.

It was popular when I was in high school to spray paint the car. They always chose flat black. That was ugly.
As far as show room floor ugly? No.

yes - there are some small pick ups around here that are nasty - one in particular is bright neon yellow with black and orange "broken" wide stripes.
