Ice Age: The Meltdown ("They're not miscreants, Diego, they're possums".) and Scary Movie 4 from the list.

Not on the list, the Da Vinci Code, Stay Alive, X3 - the Last Stand, and Tsotsi (although I'm not too sure it's a 2006 release),

Life is very different!

I have a non-professional job so I can go in to work, do my hours and then leave. There are no essays to write, no late-night studying, no exams...It's really refreshing. It won't last long though - I'm applying to study medicine next year...not that there's much work involved there! *smile*

How are you?

I remember thinking that getting a job after leaving college would be like that; I'd just be able to go home at the end of the day and leave the work behind. Somehow it never really worked out that way., perhaps because of starting my own company soon after.

I'm doing well here. I'm just finishing up an EMT course which is about as close to studying medicine as I think I'm going to get. Where are you applying to school?

I hear ya. I live just in front of a multiplex, and I go maybe twice a year. For the price of one admission at the multiplex, I can watch a good flick with my daughters, and feed them decent munchies that are good for them. Also, I can pause the thing when someone needs to pee. Try asking THAT to the projectionist at the multiplex!!!

But, my boyfriend or ex-boyfriend (or whatever he is these days) works at a theater, so he can get me in for free. Back in my drug days, a bunch of us would get high and go see the old silent, black and white movies. Great fun!

Agreed.

I will note that I did try to ask one of the employees at the local AMC Theatre (A national movie house chain) here about when a particular movie was playing. This was about a year ago at a shopping center and myself and my wife were musing about seeing a movie for old-time's sake. I ducked into the theatre lobby and flagged 2 employes (in AMC uniform) to ask when the show times were. NEITHER OF THEM COULD SPEAK ENGLISH. (Mexicans) I walked out and rented a video instead. sheeesh!!
