Do you believe in the Anti-Christ appearing on 6/6/06?

I heard people being so religious that they stay home so nothing will happen. I myself don't think anything will happen but you might.

No, because today I have to do several things anyway. I think its pretty retarted that somebody actually wants to stay in just because the calandar says 6/6/06, unless they just want to skip work and figure this would make for a pretty good excuse.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Rev 13:11-18

It seems pretty clear to me that we aren't talking about dates here...

666 wrong number of prophetic beast

6/1/06 was 5 days ago... so, I think we're going to be OK, for now.

Other. I have been seeing these billboards advertising "6-6-06 - You have been warned" - re the new OMEN remake. I loved the Omen series years ago. Would like to see this new one. I think the kid involved, Damien, looks older than his supposed 5 years this time around. It must be really time-consuming finding a little kid who can act well!

It's amazing that people still fall for that line of crap! If there were anyone who should be burned in hell alive it's those lying plastic TV preachers in their $800 suits and million-dollar utterly tacky tv studio sets. Trinity Broadcasting Network and that major lying sack-of-crap Benny Hinn with his fake "healings" are two excellent examples. Talk about xian tacky-ness carried to the extreme just to make money and decieve truly hurting people! Worst of all these charlatans have an ear in the current White House which is truly scary.

Revelation - 13:18

Can you read that, morons? 666 is not the number of a date, it's the "number of a man" - whatever that means. Which is, of course, precisely the problem. Like so much of the Bible, it's so vague and meaningless that it appeals to superstitious fools who would rather spend their time in a state of constant fear and unease than to spend it actually enjoying themselves.

Possibly. Except for one tiny problem. Why would the Bible use the Gregorian calendar? Why would it even use the Julian calendar?

06/06/2006 in the Hebrew calendar is actually 10/03/5766.

Of course there's also the problem that if 06/06/06 represents the day the Anti-Christ is born, why would people be specifically afraid on *that* day? Surely even the spawn of Satan needs a long sleep after the ordeal of being born?

I don't know. There's a whole slough of people around here that are just sort of generic I guess. Familiar names, but nothing in particular to make them stand out as personalities. Then there's a few that I tend to confuse or lump together. Of course there are also plenty who stand out as unique personalities. I'd place him in the first group.
