| bill | posted 29-May-2006 5:32pm Yes... I had always assumed it's who's doing the staring that makes it offensive or not. |
| Amanda | posted 29-May-2006 5:39pm No. She knew what chances she was taking when she got them. Also, from the few people I know that have gotten implants, it seems they crave that male attention and that's the main reason they got implants. |
| eloradanan | posted 29-May-2006 5:42pm I would think that she would expect this to happen from time to time. |
| romkey | posted 29-May-2006 5:56pm I don't think reason has anything to do with it. |
| Melf | posted 29-May-2006 6:12pm No, it's like somebody putting a bloody great tattoo across their forehead and expecting people not to stare at it. |
| gambler | posted 29-May-2006 6:14pm I dont think its reasonable, or is the double edged sword thing?............ having said that if your a 32AA and you have an op to make you 34B , maybe you might get offended..... good question though.
Probably women can give a better take on this |
| Zang | posted 29-May-2006 6:20pm I don't think it is ever polite to stare at a woman's breasts. However, if a woman goes out and gets herself a pair of frankentitties that look like over-inflated beach balls, they shouldn't be surprised if it results in a little more attention. After all, if you are going to deliberately make yourself look like a freak, you shouldn't be offended when people act like they're at a freak show. |

| autumnlight | posted 29-May-2006 7:20pm Realistically, no. What's she getting them for anyway, if not for men to stare at her? |
| ultamate | posted 29-May-2006 7:26pm I don't know why she would get mad about it. If she done any personal research she would have found that most bigger breasted women have that problem. Actually don't even smaller breasted women have that problem too? You get what you ask for so deal with is my opinion. Unless you’re like next to nothing I don't know why a woman would have her breast enlarged. I see nothing wrong with little breast they are beautiful too, but fake ones look fake. Not pretty. |
| southernyankee | posted 29-May-2006 8:06pm No, I don't even think its that reasonable for women without it to get offended. If she dilibratly augmented her breasts, she knew what she was getting into (or at least should have).
Its kind of a double standard that we aren't expceted to get offended if someone where to stare at us. |
| ausfox | posted 29-May-2006 8:32pm Yes, of course she could still get offended. |
| zeke | posted 29-May-2006 8:43pm I'm assuming that the men we're talking about are strangers, not her plastic surgeon, her husband, etc Your typical boob job customer is doing it for vanity i.e. because she wants big breasts and wants men (and women) to admire her body. In those cases, it would be unrealistic and hypocritical for her to be offended. But in the rarer cases when a woman gets a boob job to achieve a modest (i.e. average) size, perhaps after mastectomy, or to "correct" asymmetry, I think it would be reasonable to be offended in that situation; the same as the expectations of any woman with breasts of modest size. |
| Enheduanna | posted 29-May-2006 9:02pm Why does it have to be "reasonable"? |

| CarolL | posted 29-May-2006 9:50pm No, is it wrong to look at a clown? |
| llamamama | posted 29-May-2006 10:04pm No, it's her fault.
Frieken boob shouldn't expect to enlarge her's and not be stared at.. That would be like if you had a big sign above your head..A big neon sign.. People are gonna look.. I'd look..I mean, if they had a big sign..Not..big other things... |
| Enigma | posted 29-May-2006 10:38pm Do you think Pam Anderson should get "offended" if guys stare at her giant out of proportion boobies? Right, like she doesn't expect them to. More like she'd be offended if they didn't. |
| hypersky | posted 29-May-2006 11:26pm I love breasts, and I say that a quick glance is okay, but gawking is just plain rude, unless the gawking is offered willingly by the gawkee.
Breast augmentation is often useful is building self-esteem. Most women who have had the procedure report that they feel better about themselves. However, having said this, large breasts are not an invitation to leer and act crude. How's that for a non-answer? John Kerry could not have done better. |
| LuridHope | posted 29-May-2006 11:43pm Sheesh! |
| RGirl | posted 30-May-2006 12:41am Explanation for my survey-
It was late. I sat down on the couch and the tv was still on. It Spike tv. The guy channel. There was a show where two people go on a blind date and the cameras follow along. There was this woman that had breasts that were 'noticeable'. She admitted they were real but then became irritated with her date for staring at her breasts. |
| LJD | posted 30-May-2006 1:33am LOL I'm assuming she's had them enlarged. Depending if she had them enlarged to the size of a cow...I think it would be reasonable for a man to look at her...as I would assume that is the reason she had it done. I understand augmentation when it comes to downsizing, or after cancer or injury, but somehow I think having them enlarged like over inflated balloons looks grotesque. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 30-May-2006 6:37am No, not if they are huge! |
| Cain | posted 30-May-2006 7:01am No, it's not unreasonable.
However, it is unreasonable for a woman to have her cleavage or breasts in an obvious display (usually with the help of a Wonderbra) and be offended when men (and often other women) stare. |
| Iseult | posted 30-May-2006 10:30am I don't think anyone should get offended when men are staring at their breasts, unless the men are doing it in an offensive manner. And why just men - I often stare at breasts. |
| Lahdee | posted 30-May-2006 11:14am If people dont like their boobs being stared at they can wear less reveling clothes, or shirts not so tight. Seems like if someone is 1) wanting an enlargement and 2) wearing clothes that "show it off", then they WANT to be looked at. Women know it's going to attract that kind of attention and if they let it all show/hang out or whatever, they are pretty much asking for it. That's the way the oggling men see it too. |
| tjbustem | posted 30-May-2006 2:04pm That's why they get them done. |
| mve17 | posted 31-May-2006 9:02am If they were bigger than her head then she obviously only got them done for attention anyway....... |
| Jody | posted 31-May-2006 3:32pm I think it's offensive when men stare at a woman's breasts unless she is specifically drawing their attention to them in a very obvious way, regardless of whether they are natural or artificially augmented. Staring is just plain rude. |
| RGirl | posted 31-May-2006 5:51pm This chick, in the show I mentioned was wearing at one point a bikini and the other a sort of halter top. They were displayed prominently. |
| iwish40 | posted 1-Jun-2006 1:40am Call this "Old Fashioned" thinking, but.
Men will be men, and they will look at womens breasts, wether they are "real" or "implants". Women don't need a flashing neon sign on their breasts saying, "HEY LOOK AT THESE". We get implants for our own personal reasons. ( I have not, altho, I'd like too). I'd be more offended if a Woman was to stare at my breasts, than a man. |
| RGirl | (reply to iwish40) posted 1-Jun-2006 2:38am > I'd be more offended if a Woman was to stare at my breasts, than a > man. Why? |
| Lahdee | (reply to RGirl) posted 1-Jun-2006 10:20am >They were displayed prominently.
Women who put them on display should expect people to view. Not get mad when they do. Hey I'm a poet! |
| Hans | posted 3-Jun-2006 2:12pm What? It is reasonable ... to be offended... ? Why could it be "reasonable to be offended", for whatever reason?? - I think I do not understand the question. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 3-Jun-2006 9:25pm Men they stare at my big breasts! all of the time and it is natural to have men staring and looking at us because we are women, and besides I stare and check out cute and handsome men as they walk by me whoo did you see him???? Knocked me off my feet |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to gambler) posted 3-Jun-2006 9:34pm > I dont think its reasonable, or is the double edged sword thing?............
> having said that if your a 32AA and you have an op to make you 34B > , maybe you might get offended..... good question though. > > Probably women can give a better take on this No why would I be offended if men are staring at my nice big! breasts? I have men looking at my breasts and my body all of the time as I walk by them and they are just as friendly" as ever, and I happened to stop at the grocery store and three cute and handsome men were saying hi" to me and they were really nice gentlemen and asked me how I am and I said good' and wow they were hunks I was checking them out as well as they walked by me and I am not offended if men are looking at my breasts I am a woman and I am female this is natural for any woman speaking for myself |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to Hans) posted 3-Jun-2006 9:43pm > What? It is reasonable ... to be offended... ? Why could it be "reasonable
> to be offended", for whatever reason?? - I think I do not understand > the question. If you are a woman stop and think for a moment , what if you went in to see the Plastic Surgeon and you have Breast Augmentation to make your bust look fuller? Well dah it will be reasonable to assume that as soon, as you walk by the first and second men that you will see at the Post Office or Shopping Center men they will stare right at your breasts and men are very good at staring at us women and if I show off my cleavage I have to assume it is reasonable to be offended and I will not get offended because I know what is going to happen when I am around men? |
| cerealkiller | posted 5-Jun-2006 7:29pm No. What other reason would there be to have your bewbs enlarged? You want people eyeing them. |
| Biggles | posted 7-Jun-2006 9:39am Yes - there are appropriate ways of looking at someone and inappropriate ones. If, for example, the man was staring at them with his tongue hanging out and standing about a foot away then I think she has cause to be offended. |
| gazelda1 | posted 9-Jun-2006 1:17pm many times women do it for themselves.. not for men. And what if it is from reconstructive surgery. |
| Oscar | posted 13-Jun-2006 2:13pm Not if they got them for cosmetic reasons. It's like buying a really nice car and telling people they can't look at it. |
