| Frostbrand | posted 18-May-2006 1:09am Last night. Didn't last though. |
| LindaH | posted 18-May-2006 1:10am YES! Right now, as a matter of fact. I have a serious cold that's making my head feel all foggy. BUT I have every reason to be in a super mood! This big grin keeps coming back to my face. |
| Iseult | posted 18-May-2006 1:16am Yes. Like right now. |
| cabinfever | posted 18-May-2006 1:18am No. When I get sick, I do a damn good job of it. I've never been that happy, that I can remember. |
| thresholdking | posted 18-May-2006 2:26am most definitely |
| RGirl | posted 18-May-2006 2:39am Many times. |
| Melf | posted 18-May-2006 2:46am No, this hasn't happened to me |
| Cain | posted 18-May-2006 5:58am Other: Getting a cold or flu doesn't really bring me down, I can still be cheerful when I'm snotty. |
| mve17 | posted 18-May-2006 6:37am Last time I was 'so happy' it lasted a whole 2 days.. wooey wooey woo woo |
| Shadow_Matt | posted 18-May-2006 7:36am yeah but i dont remember what i was happy about. |
| bill | posted 18-May-2006 9:16am Maybe? I don't tend to get colds/flu... When I'm happy like that, it tends to be for short periods (a day or two). I'm not sure this question really fits me. |
| Oscar | posted 18-May-2006 12:10pm Cold and flu always bring me down. I had a cold on my wedding day, but it was clearing up so I was still happy. |
| Enheduanna | posted 18-May-2006 12:24pm Probably, although I can't think of specific examples. I'm assuming you mean I actually got the cold or flu. There have definitely been times when I was so happy that I wouldn't have minded a cold or flu, although I didn't get one. |
| Enheduanna | (reply to LindaH) posted 18-May-2006 12:25pm Is there any specific reason for your big smile, or is it general happiness? |
| MiniMary | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 18-May-2006 1:07pm Happiness is a fleeting emotion and only intended to be truly felt in little bits and pieces, but it is truly meant to be felt by everyone. I know these words are merely semantics but I have been in joyful states through-out life...when I am in balanced and grounded and am grateful for all that I have. Because of these joyful states, I recognize happiness when I see it. If I was down, depressed and living with anger and resentment, I may not even recognize happiness when it comes along. I hear people say 'I've never been happy'...and I believe they just cannot recognize it. |
| LindaH | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 18-May-2006 1:07pm an e mail I got 2 days ago. |
| MiniMary | (reply to mve17) posted 18-May-2006 1:07pm And then? |
| Enheduanna | (reply to LindaH) posted 18-May-2006 3:23pm Care to vague that up a little? |
| LindaH | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 18-May-2006 4:17pm yeah |
| ultamate | posted 18-May-2006 9:42pm I'm not sure but I very much doubt it. |
| romkey | posted 18-May-2006 9:54pm This doesn't make a much sense to me. An emotional state of elation isn't going how crappy a cold makes you feel. They're two different sets of feelings. |
| romkey | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 18-May-2006 9:55pm So... whatcha so happy about? |
| hypersky | posted 18-May-2006 10:45pm Yes. Surely in my early 20s. I would say that that kind of happiness is coming back into my life. I believe that having a positive outlook on life pumps up your immune system and actually lessens the chances of you being struck down by a virus. All this to say that maybe when you're happy, you're not as likely to let a cold or the flu bring you down. |
| hypersky | (reply to LindaH) posted 18-May-2006 10:45pm You go girl!!! |
| hypersky | (reply to RGirl) posted 18-May-2006 10:46pm I love your shoes. |
| RGirl | (reply to hypersky) posted 18-May-2006 10:47pm Thanks. They're my latest. |
| hypersky | (reply to RGirl) posted 18-May-2006 11:00pm They suit you very well. And I notice you have both of them on the correct foot. Congratulations on that, too! |
| RGirl | (reply to hypersky) posted 18-May-2006 11:01pm Well, I can't take credit since I still haven't figured out how to dress myself. (J/K) |

| gambler | posted 21-May-2006 6:28pm Yes, when I was courting my wife................ I do not mean I am not happy now, I am contented now, but you know that "new" love feeling |
| MiniMary | (reply to mve17) posted 23-May-2006 1:59pm So you were sad? |
| LindaH | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 23-May-2006 2:42pm Here's some James Taylor lyrics for you....
Don't be sad 'cause your sun is down You can rise above it Don't be sad 'cause you're on your own You have to learn to love it Don't be sad 'cause your sun is down You're gonna find your way Don't be sad 'cause your day is done There's another day, everyday (Chorus) Everyday I wake up just the same Waiting for something new Every night I have myself to blame For the dreams that haven't come true But especially today I'm feeling blue Don't be sad 'cause your son is down Little mama he's bound to feel it Don't be sad 'cause your boy is blue It wouldn't do to conceal it from you Don't be sad 'cause your sun is down The night doesn't need your sorrow Don't be sad 'cause the light is gone Just keep your mind on tomorrow and carry on |
| mve17 | (reply to MiniMary) posted 24-May-2006 5:26pm You're a mind reader |
| MiniMary | (reply to mve17) posted 25-May-2006 2:41pm Well, cheer up!!!!! |
| Biggles | posted 12-Jun-2006 11:39pm If it's actually flu, it would get anybody down. If you're not down, it's not really flu. |
