| Enheduanna | posted 17-May-2006 5:15pm No. Maybe for $100 million. As long as it was a minimum-security prison like the one Martha Stewart was in. |
| CarolL | posted 17-May-2006 5:50pm I would, I think. I've never been in prison, but hey, if someone will do all the cooking and all I have to do is lie around and pass the time reading, playing cards and watching TV, I'll give it a shot. |
| RGirl | posted 17-May-2006 6:20pm I would...but I would miss some people much too much and by the time I got out they might not be around. If I weren't in a relationship I would really consider it. |
| ultamate | posted 17-May-2006 6:39pm I'm not sure, maybe |
| Maarten | posted 17-May-2006 7:05pm No. 10 million maybe. 100 million yes! |
| romkey | posted 17-May-2006 7:49pm No, absolutely not. I'm pretty certain I could earn a million dollars on my own in five years if I wanted it that badly. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 17-May-2006 8:44pm Prison would not be worth a million$$$$dollars and perhaps for $10 billion big ones who knows? |
| gambler | posted 17-May-2006 9:29pm No |
| kirst | posted 18-May-2006 12:50am No, definitely not. |
| Iseult | posted 18-May-2006 1:28am No. I could just whore myself to million fat chicks within the period of five years. |
| Iseult | posted 18-May-2006 1:30am ...for a dollar each time. |
| thresholdking | posted 18-May-2006 2:31am hell no |
| Melf | posted 18-May-2006 2:52am No! What a waste of my life! |
| Cain | posted 18-May-2006 6:07am No. If you'd asked me that 2 years ago I would have said yes, but I wouldn't want to miss out on 5 years with my daughter and partner now. |
| mve17 | posted 18-May-2006 6:41am No |
| Shadow_Matt | posted 18-May-2006 7:52am 5 years?? hell no. So i can get ass raped? I dont think so. |
| bill | posted 18-May-2006 9:22am No... but, if more conditions were laid down, I might. A minimum security prison, my comfort and safety assured, a computer, books, etc... Even then, I'd probably say "no". I'm still fairly convinced that I'll die young. So, 5 years would be a lot to lose. |
| Amanda | posted 18-May-2006 9:33am No way. A million dollars would be great, but I'm not going to miss 5 years of my son's life for it. |
| Zang | posted 18-May-2006 11:51am An American prison? I don't know, I think it would depend on the prison. If I could go to one of those cushy prisons for white collar criminals where they have a golf course and a tennis court and that sort of thing, sure.
Do I get a criminal record? Or is the payment an implication that I was wrongfully convicted? I think an explanation was in order for this survey... |
| Oscar | posted 18-May-2006 12:13pm That's kind of tough. Five years ruins the prime of my life. I have too much I want to accomplish in the next 5 years that would be ruined by prison. 1 mill is tempting though |
| MiniMary | (reply to CarolL) posted 18-May-2006 1:49pm Under no way, shape or form would money be more important than my freedom. If you can compromise that principle, then Heaven help you. |
| MiniMary | (reply to bill) posted 18-May-2006 1:50pm > No... but, if more conditions were laid down,

| Halifax | posted 18-May-2006 4:52pm In a second. |
| Lahdee | posted 18-May-2006 6:33pm no way!!!!!! |
| romkey | (reply to bill) posted 18-May-2006 8:21pm Solitary confinement with a T1 line? |
| hypersky | posted 18-May-2006 11:39pm Let's see: spend 5 years not worrying about rent or a mortgage, three meals a day, shower, laundry service, access to computers, access to a gym, the possibility of getting a college degree paid for by the state, AND receive a million dollars at the end of it? Where do I sign up?

| hypersky | (reply to hypersky) posted 18-May-2006 11:43pm Having said what I have to say, I agree with Zang that a bit of context is needed here to make an informed decision. |
| Enigma | posted 19-May-2006 1:33am Interesting... I don't know. |
| kitti723 | posted 19-May-2006 2:13am 3 squares, shelter & medical attention for 5 yrs in the pen? sounds like a holiday right now, not to mention a million bucks! |
| jettles | (reply to kitti723) posted 19-May-2006 8:17am > 3 squares, shelter & medical attention for 5 yrs in the pen? sounds
> like a holiday right now, not to mention a million bucks! oh yeah, prison is just a piece of cake.................. |
| kitti723 | (reply to jettles) posted 19-May-2006 11:55am been to jail, just lost my house due to the hurricane and got fired yesterday sorry if i'm feeling a little hopeless. |
| icurok | posted 19-May-2006 12:00pm Minimum security or PMITA? |
| southernyankee | posted 20-May-2006 4:17am most likely no. A prison sentence would ruin my chances of getting a good job, which would cost me at least $200,000 when you look at the difference between wages. Being super rich would have the downside of attracting gold-diggers and increase chances of a divorce or two; so thats have a mill right there.
I dont think 5 years of my 20's are worth any amount of money, or even my 30's. I rather just live off ramon noodles of get a job like everyone else. |
| ausfox | posted 21-May-2006 4:54am I could never miss 5 years of my sons life or miss being with my husband for money. |
| jettles | (reply to kitti723) posted 21-May-2006 7:58am gees, i'm sorry about everything going on........... |
| kitti723 | (reply to jettles) posted 22-May-2006 1:57am jail was a long time ago. everything else quite recent. i will bounce back. i always do. no one else does it for me. sometimes i wish for someone to help. none the less it works out. i do have my boyfriend to complain to and i'm waiting for him to have enough. i think he'll hang around. i always land on my feet. |
| TheBhoys | posted 23-May-2006 4:44pm I wouldn't go to prison for any amount of money |
| cloudhugger | posted 26-May-2006 11:06pm A million would not be enough to be some butch dyke hairy smelling mean looking cellmates dog, so NO. |
| RGirl | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 27-May-2006 11:08pm Yeah, but then, what that's your type? NOT!!!! |
| cloudhugger | (reply to RGirl) posted 28-May-2006 12:20am For a million dollars to spend time in a prison cell with my type...hmmm.....I guess that would make me the butch dyke hairy smelling mean looking dog. |
| niceguy1 | posted 11-Jun-2006 8:20pm by the time you got out, the prison life for the past 5 years would be a hard thing to forget to enjoy the money |
| Biggles | posted 12-Jun-2006 11:58pm No way. |
