I use "dearest" and "darlin'" when I'm mad. It tends to lighten things up a bit.

'Honey', 'sweetie', and 'sweetheart' when I am in a good mood.... 'Dear' when I am irritated or being sarcastic.

Of the ones listed, I'm sure I've used "dear". I don't think I'm really conscious of it when I do it. It's pretty goofy and embarrassing really. Not something I would do in front of others. I think I tend to make up silly little pet names like "hon", "sweetie-pie", "sugarkins", "snookums"...I can't believe I'm admitting this!..."honey-bun", "baby-cakes", "babe", "sweetums"...Okay, I'm sure I've completely destroyed whatever dignity I may have once had around here...

Honey and sweetie. I say 'my honey' a lot. Like 'my honey is home'. Actually to her I say 'sweetie'.

Anne calls me 'love' when I'm upset or frustrated with something and just hearing that one word makes me feel so much better.

sweetie (rarely), babe, snuggle tush, "babeh" when being silly. I usually refer to him as snuggle tush as he is headed to work "buh-bye snuggle tush" or sweet snookie wookums... just in a kidding around way. lol We call each other babe a lot and he referred to me as babes whenever I was pregnant..lol

Baby, Darling, Darlin' (although, to be fair, I call everyone Darling and Darlin', so it's not really something reserved for my significant other)

POO , pooper or Poopie.. before you start blowing chunks, you really have to know me first... because this is something that is all me - I call all of my friends this as well my partner.. I also call my big brother poop as well.. It just stuck ever since I was a kid ( the first poop was my cat when I was about 6) and it never left me.. Everyone I think is awesome is a pooper to me!!! ( baring in mind I can only use the word when I am happy).. but now its just my 'trademark' when it comes to terms of endearment. .. so much so that all my girl friends back home and even my brother and my boyfriend call it to me.. ) Babe is used on my boyfriend exclusively.

I hate most of these - I think they sound trite. "Love" and "Dear" are okay, because they are common pet-names even for strangers where I come from (along with "Duck"). I've never used any of them on a bf, but my ex did call me "Baby" one or twice. It made me cringe.
