I like Amanda. I wouldn't have picked anything different. |

I have always loved my name and never wanted another. I could do without my middle name (mona) blech |

Depends on when. When I was 12 I was running around calling myself things like "Indigo," and "Sasha." When I was 25 I was calling myself "Truck." Now I find using my given name seems to satisfy me just fine. |

I can't imagine having to pick my own name. I'm so bad at making decisions. I agonize over stupid things like which color shirt to buy. Having to decide something that I would have for the rest of my life would drive me crazy. However, I am partial to the name Elizabeth. It's so long and pretty.

I have enough trouble getting people to spell my last name right, I like having such a simple first name. Owen makes me think of the guy that helps Mickey and Mallory escape from prison in Natural Born Killers. |

I would have eventually picked what I use as an alias, which I'm not going to disclose here :) |

Kadai: There's a great James Taylor song about his (dead) pet pig called "Mona". Don't know that that helps any... |

I had a cousin named Clifford. I always wanted to have his name. |

Hunter: I'm *so* surprised! I'd never in a million years think you liked that name... (just kidding!) |
| dpolicar | | posted 22-Jun-1999 9:14pm |
well, I guess I *can* choose my first name... I mean, I can change it legally and all. Why bother, though? It's my name; any other name would do about as well but no better. |
| lizzie | | posted 23-Jun-1999 3:46pm |
I'm not particularly fond of my name, but it *is* my name after all, so it's hard to say. I definitely would have picked a different middle name, but what I have no idea. |

I've always liked Zachary. I don't know why. |
SueBee | | posted 24-Jun-1999 12:45am |
I wish my name were something less "prissy" and maybe a bit less common than Susan/Sue/Susie, but I don't know what I'd choose. I would think it'd be a little difficult for an adult to change their first name. |
| eris | | posted 24-Jun-1999 1:43pm |
You could just tack "Runaround" in front of it (even if it's not accurate - let them wonder) |
SueBee | | posted 25-Jun-1999 12:49am |
I like that song, eris! It's not accurate though. I'm more faithful than a panting little puppy dog. |
| drdt | | posted 28-Jun-1999 7:08pm |
SB: that wouldn't take much, puppies are terribly promiscuous. |
SueBee | | posted 29-Jun-1999 12:04am |
I mean more like a puppy who only wants to sit on one person's lap and nobody else's. MY SO gets really tired of it and locks me in the kennel. |
| Pooh_Bear | | posted 29-Jun-1999 2:19pm |
I would like my middle name to be my first. Jennifer is just too common. |
| Amerino |
I like my name... Amy (easy to remember) LoL :o) |

I like my first name (Kirsten) although people have trouble pronouncing it at first. |
