I like how hard wood floors look, but I think carpet is easier to take care of.

Hardwood of course, natural wood if possible (oak for example)

I prefer hardwood floors with rugs. I have a couple of really nice older rugs that are beautiful on the hardwood floors.

Depends on the room - for instance, I'd never use carpet in a kitchen. Generally I prefer wood.

Hardwood. Carpeting is such a turnoff - especially the ugly wall-to-wall stuff one gets in rented apartments, usually a yucky color like gray, green, or brown. When you have hardwood, you can add your own throw rugs or not. Carpeting gets stained and trampled down.

It depends where.
In the kitchen and bedrooms, carpet
Anywhere else, hardfloor

Hardwood all the way. Easier to clean, to keep clean & decreases allergy issues. And they are pretty. * smile *

I thought hard wood floors would be easier to take care of? You know, don't have to really vacuum them and doesn't stain.

What I meant was That the hardwood can get all scratched up and then look like crap, maybe there different now but I was going by the ones in my childhood, the house we lived in had wood floors and I remember them being all scratched up and not shiny in spots.

Ok, I take it back, if the carpet is a light color it would be harder to keep clean. * smile *

Hardwood floors are "in" right now, but all the dirt shows, and carpets are much cozier, not to mention quieter when walked on.

I have not been feeling all that well since Sunday, and it felt like my blood pressure dropped or something else going on, and today I thought that I heard voices at the checkouts while in the grocery store and not real clear on just what I heard? And I never really look around to see who was calling somebody's name and then it could have been for me and my hearing has been bothering me in this one ear I have trouble hearing, and this might explain the voices I hear because my other ear I can hear better and I have ringing in one ear some hearing loss

Blondie I do have some good news to tell you! I went to see my Doctor today and she said I have this virus in my ear which has been making me feel dizzy and almost passing out, she put me on this cold medication to help drain my sinus and clear out this ear it is infected? I have to take this medicine 2 times a day and take it as needed. This is about my 4th visit to the Doctor and the same thing happening all over again and again which is not a whole lot of fun to go thru, I would rather just stay home from work and just sleep in my cozy comfy bed with all the lights off and no noise if I could, but have to make money and work and until things slow down up here in about 2 weeks when all the folks leave and go home very soon to wherever they came from?
