Someone who sticks with you through thick and thin, good and bad.

Someone who is always there for you, won't talk about you behind your back, and won't criticize you.

I wouldn't know. People let me down all the time either because I'm too demanding or too sensitive or both. Needless to say I've never had a true friend entirely because of me I'm sure.

Someone who sticks with you through thick and thin, no matter what idiot you end up dating. Someone who lets you cry on their shoulder, but then kicks you in the ass and tells you to get on with life... and helps you do that. Someone who thinks you are a good egg, even if you are slightly cracked. A true friend will be the person sitting next to you in that jail cell, saying, "Damn, that was fun!"

Someone who will risk your friendship to stop you from doing something incredibly stupid.

Someone you can tell anything to, and not be judged. Someone loyal. Someone who holds your interest in daily conversation. Someone who's company you enjoy.

Depends on what you call a true friend. I have many friends and a lot of them will do just about anything for me as I would them. Timing and other family things and stuff like that can make a difference too. I can talk to a number of my friends about anything if I need to too.

To make a long story short, a true friend is one you can trust.

Someone I can trust implicitly. I think that pretty well covers all the other aspects of true friendship.

Someone who wants to be with you, who listens to you, tells you the truth about everything and accepts you unconditionally.

Someone I trust. Someone that I can tell anything to and they won't betray my trust or treat me differently based on what I've said to them. Someone who doesn't talk behind my back.

A true friend is a friend that tells you when you smell, when you have a booger sticking out, or when you have a hole in your pants. It is the type of friend that picks you up when you fall and then falls himself. He/she will always tell you to pop that pimple here and there. For that is a true friend.

Someone who is there when you need them. They tell you things straight up. Make you laugh. Make you cry. Love you for who you are - nonjudgemental.

Someone that I trust above all others. That would be people like my parents, a couple of my co-workers and a couple of my college instructors.

I trust everyone unless they give me a reason not to trust them (not the best way to be)
So I don't know what I'd define a true friend. Someone who I can talk to about absolutely everything and I love above my other friends.
