| jettles | posted 16-Jun-1999 11:32am it's hard to say, probably close to even i guess?! |
| hunter | posted 16-Jun-1999 12:17pm I tend to think my heart's been broken more, but people have the disturbing habit of casually mentioning in conversation that I broke their heart years before without my realizing it. So I end up deciding that I wouldn't know. |
| God | posted 16-Jun-1999 12:32pm Great survey - Brings back all the unhappy memories however. |
| they | posted 16-Jun-1999 1:07pm I agree with God... as ironic as that sounds. |
| eris | posted 16-Jun-1999 1:17pm Both quite rare for me, thankfully. |
| dpolicar | posted 16-Jun-1999 1:32pm oo... toughie. I really don't know. I suspect I've hurt more people than I've been hurt by, but that I've been hurt more by the latter than I've hurt the former. But I don't have a lot of confidence in that estimation; it's a subjective judgement about a highly emotional question about which I have a very skewed view. |
| Jane | posted 16-Jun-1999 2:13pm I don't think I've ever broken anyone's heart. I have only had one opportunity to do so, but he got to my heart first. |
| magbast | posted 16-Jun-1999 3:59pm i'm easily attached... |
| bluebird1974 | posted 16-Jun-1999 4:04pm Definitely had mine broken more. |
| madamex | posted 16-Jun-1999 4:14pm Judging from the number of proposals (marriage and otherwise) I've heartlessly turned down, I'm very sure I'm in the heartbreaker camp. But Oh Boy, am I paying for it now. After all these years of being the cold one, I opened up my heart and fell in love. At the moment, it's all going horribly wrong - I have spent a large portion of the past 2 months sobbing. Karmic payback is a dog! |
| mandy | posted 16-Jun-1999 8:33pm Me vs. Them I've broken at least 7. I've had mine broken 3 times. |
| SueBee | posted 17-Jun-1999 1:32am I think I've only broken one heart, but mine's been broken several times. Madamex - I am truly sorry to hear it, and hope things are going better for you soon! |
| jonathan | posted 17-Jun-1999 9:27am I'm definitely on the break-er side more than break-ee, though for a long time I was somewhere between totally clueless and purposefully ignorant on the topic. |
| drdt | posted 17-Jun-1999 1:23pm Those of you that have had yours broken multiple times... where did you go to get it repaired? Mine was broken to the point of non-function over ten years ago, which is nice because it can't be broken any worse but not so nice since it really hasn't worked right since. |
| Jody | posted 17-Jun-1999 5:20pm drdt - You have to be totally stupid and somehow regenerate enough faith in love to let yourself fall in love again. Can you turn off your brain enough to do that? It took me some years too....(5, actually) |
| mandy | posted 17-Jun-1999 11:57pm Yep...you must just give in again....even though reason may be waving red flags in your face and logic is trying to drag you away by the hair..... |
| Lucifer | posted 18-Jun-1999 3:16am they, you mean of course all the broken hearts youv'e left behind? |
| anonymous | posted 18-Jun-1999 12:36pm Lucifer - your Miykal is showing... wretch! |
| magbast | posted 20-Jun-1999 5:26pm lucifer/miykal...leave my woman alone...ya freak-o-nature |
| KrissieK | posted 28-Jun-1999 3:59pm I have this tendency to care about guys a lot and they usually end up cheating on me or doing something else to hurt me. |
| lexxusm | posted 29-Jun-1999 9:32pm I always used to get bored with my boyfriends and dump them for someone new and more interesting. But things change and I have learned a lot and am now happily married. |
| kirst | posted 4-Jul-1999 11:25pm It's fairly even... |
| drdt | posted 7-Jul-1999 6:52pm Jody: Maybe I'll pass. Like I said it can't break again and I'm no fan of being stupid. |
| mags | posted 15-Jul-1999 1:31am i have to say that people have broken my heart more because I don't think that I have the power to break someone's heart. |
| anonymous | posted 22-Jul-1999 9:25am No-one has broken my heart properly, yet! |
| yorricks | posted 3-Oct-1999 12:14pm I've had my heart broken once, more often than I've inflicted that on another. It's an amazingly resilient organ though. I find it only takes 7 years to heal. |
| Wicksy | posted 6-Oct-1999 6:35am I have broken a few....I'm sorry to you all! |
| mandy | posted 6-Oct-1999 7:41pm I doubt any of them are here Wicksy...You have to be able to read to use Survey Central...*giggles* |
| Wicksy | posted 7-Oct-1999 5:14am Hey twister, that's not fair, all my ex girlfriends have an IQ of at least 10! |
| mandy | posted 7-Oct-1999 7:24pm 10? oh..my mistake....I thought that was their combined age |
| Wicksy | posted 8-Oct-1999 4:27am Twister: 10 years old! Nah, that's far too old for me! |
| mandy | posted 8-Oct-1999 2:52pm Too mature for you...*pinch* |
| Mariah | posted 31-Oct-1999 7:18pm People have probably broken my heart more (3). If I ever broke anyone's heart, I was oblivious to it and apologize. |
| LindaH | posted 26-Jul-2008 5:37pm I have broken hearts more. Platonic male friends falling for me after getting to know me makes it impossible to avoid doing this. It's not on purpose! |
