Have you ever gone shirtless in a public place (or in a woman's case, have you ever just worn a bikini top in public)? If so, where?

I owned one bikini. My dad wouldn't let out of the house with it on. Therefor, NO.

In the summer, there's nothing more relaxing than walking around the neighborhood shirtless and barefoot. I especially like it when women who see me smile when they see me with my shirt off. I also have driven shirtless and barefoot including driving to college on the weekend to work on a project (I commuted to college). I often walked around campus shirtless and barefoot and I spent all day down at college that time shirtless and barefoot, even going in to the computer lab and library. No one said a word objecting to it. I did get several smiles not only from female college students but also from the female librarian and a couple of the female professors who saw me (all of whom were middle aged). I never went to class shirtless however.

yes, I went to class barefoot but only when it was warm. However, I did consider it to be a distraction if I removed my shirt and then went to class, so I never did it. One semester when I had a gym class, I went barefoot to my class after that quite a few times before it got cold. Usually, however, I wore flip flops.

I am a woman and I wear layers, none of which included a bikini top but shirtless underneath the layers.

You must live somewhere warm.

I've worn just a bikini top and shorts in public places (local grocery store, WalMart, pharmacy, service station, etc..). I always wear something on my feet however. Most places won't let you in without shoes. And if it is a place that WILL let you go barefoot then ewww Im def going to put on some shoes (think Britney Spears at the gas station restroom).

OTHER I am a woman and I have gone shirtless (completely naked) in a public place. This is legal in downtown Eugene, Oregon.

The beach is a public place.... but that's not where I was. I was at the annual hydroplane races. I was semi-broke that summer, and instead of spending $50 on a bathing suit, I went and spent $14 on a bra that looked like a bikini top, and fit me better too. I had tons of fun that weekend.
In my hometown, it is not at all unusual to see women in shorts and a bikini top, especially at the grocery store or a gas station convenience store. Never an issue.

the only reason i dont go shirtless in public is i dont have the figure to do it, and look good, I need to lose a lot of my fat, to look better, before i will be willing to do it.

'other' I'm a woman, but I've gone topless in public, and no, I wasn't wearing a bra or any kind of top either. It's not illegal to do this in some parts of Oregon.

Yes, and I've also gone barefoot wearing a bikini top. It's really no big deal.

however it's very comfortable (although for me being a guy, it's just shirtless and barefoot, obviously no bikini top lol) I feel so relaxed when I do this.

I have a friend who is into something called Barefoot Hiking. Never tried it but it looks like something fun to do in the woods on a hot summer day! The have a website at www.barefooters.org and an International following. Quite interesting.

I don't know, but it's been legal in Eugene for quite a few years. I think it has something to do, in part, with our rather sizeable population of hippies.

barefoot and bikini top sure - at a lake, creek, etc. and at my apt. complex in college...we had a pool.

I completely agree. I try to spend as much time possible just chilling in a bikini top or bra because it is so darn comfy!

Yep once warm weather hits, the shirt, shoes and socks all come off as soon as I get home from work (and usually stay off until the next morning if I’m not going anywhere that evening) on weekends in the summer, I only wear a shirt to go to church or to go some place that requires one. If I'm just home, it stays off until Monday when I go back to work. Very comfy!!

It's only been 2 years since I graduated college. I got in the habit of going shirtless and barefoot walking around campus. 2 into the 'real' world, I still love both. I feel such freedom walking around outside shirtless and barefoot in the summer when a warm breeze blows against my bare chest and feet

I'm making myself wish that too. That's one of the reasons I created this poll, because I wanted to think warm can't wait until it gets warm and stays that way. I'm really looking forward to my main (non workplace) outfit being reduced to just a pair of jean shorts without shirt or shoes . I did get a taste of it this past weekend because it was warm but now it's cold again so It's back to winter clothes. I can't wait for warm weather though!!

I have worn a bikini top and bottoms with a rap around cover over my bottom in a lake side bar. I have also done the same while down at the beach. I went striking in public at night but I don't know if anyone seen me.

The local village... it was a really hot day and I don't see why woman should have to cover up or even wear something when men walk around without their tops on. Woman breastfeed in public and everything!

I live in Florida so "no shirt, no shoes" doesn't exist unless it's a fancy store. When I run to the convenience store I wear whatever I'm wearing at home at the moment that I need something, so often shirtless.

Oh, and are you counting every time I go jogging or play basketball?

Let's see... parks, camp, forest, side walk, street, sports arena, and a hotel lobby. Shirtless in a gym (weight room, climbing wall), barefoot in class room and church.
