Well, since Adam (the new boyfriend) talked me into giving him the web addy to SC and has been lurking around, I'll have to say the most recent one. * grin *

Friday night, Caleb, Adam, and I went to dinner, then to see a sucky movie. It was a grand ole time. I was happy that Adam and Caleb got along so well. He's the first guy I've let meet Caleb in about a year.

I haven't really been on any memorable dates.

However, I had a very nice evening two weeks ago with the guy I'm seeing.

The best date I ever went on was the first date I had with Anne. We didn't go anywhere. I went to her apartment and we had pizza & watched DVDs. It was that the attraction was so mutual. It's like we both knew that this wasn't going to end here. It's really odd since I'm in a small town. There isn't a big 'lesbian community' here, but we had been drawn to each other quickly & there was no 'does she like me for more than a friend?' tension. Or 'does she like girls at all?' It was so real and I had that giddy giggly thing going. I LOVE feeling that way- playful. I hope I never grow out of it.

Ben came to my house and cooked me dinner... it was our first date. It was really nice. Afterwards, we went out back and made a big fire and just talked.

So far, it was with my third girlfriend. We went to see Ferris Bueller's Day Off when it was released in the summer of 1986.

But the best may be yet to come! * wink *

It was decent, just not the kind of movie I get into.

Plot summary from imdb.com:

Set in the 21st century. a subculture of humans called Hemophages has emerged who have been genetically modified, giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence. To the governments's dismay, more and more of the population are being transformed, and they have set out to rid the world of this new subculture that they deem menaces to society. One rogue warrior is bent on protecting her race - and seeking revenge on those who changed her life forever. With fierce fighting skills and chameleon-like abilities, Violet (Milla Jovovich) sets out to destroy a governments-designed time bomb that will eliminate all Hemophages. To Violet's surprise, the deadly device is a nine-year-old boy, who was raised in a laboratory and goes by the name Six (Cameron Bright).

I didn't watch for that very reason. I don't think I've seen any of the movies that were nominated. I should have watched anyhow because from clips they showed on Today, this morning, Jon Stewart was hilarious.

It was with my husband (separated at the time) He new I love pick nicks so he surprised me with cornish hen, steamed veggies, wine and grapes. The table cloth we sat on, the plates and the flowers perfectly matched. Turned out it rained that day, so he sat it all up in his spare room. He hung yellow streamer from the ceiling to represent the sun. Too damned bad he couldn't be that romantic when we were together!!

I've never liked "dates" they seem like too much pressure to me......calling it a date....
I like going somewhere - unplanned, usually....or not knowing where I'm going ahead of time (when I was dating) so that I didn't get nervous. I usually went out in groups or with people I was extremely comfortable with first. I'm not much of a date kind of person.
That being said - I don't have many "dates" to remember - or I don't think of them that way. I think of being with a guy as just hanging out - and if we just decided to go out then we went out - but I never called it a "date" - too formal. I'm still kind of a homebody.

My most beloved person in my life time, the best date, would be my first love, who died at 27 years old in a car crash. He's the person that loved me the most, was a committed person. He was a good man.

A weekend getaway date: skiing and a night of sex, sex, and more sex in a beautiful B&B that we had to ourselves. We built a fire, drank champagne, and made out on the sofa.

Me and my friend double dated with these two guys. We started off at a restaurant called Frankie and Bennies, had a meal, a few drinks, had a really good time there. After that, went to the cinema and watched a fantastic film. After the movie, we bought four bottles of wine and all got really merry. It was an absolute hilarious night.
