Do you think Britney Spears can make a comeback in the music industry?

I would have said yes, but she's been making a worse and worse spectacle of herself. It's not beyond the realm of the possible, but she will have to dump that awful husband of hers first. Not that I like Britney Spears even remotely, but there's always stuff about her in the gossip column I read. And you asked.

Even though I seriously do dislike Britney Spears I will answer this survey in the way it was meant. No, her 'hot slut' persona was destroyed when she had a baby.

I didn't, until someone told me. I had my then-boyfriend's younger cousins with me and they were big fans of Britney Spears and recognized them. If not for that, I wouldn't have had a clue who they were.

My sentiments exactly! I suspect I may have heard her music when I've been out in some public place or something...but I wouldn't have known that it was her. In spite of the fact that I've seen pictures of her numerous time, I don't think I would recognise her if she appeared on my doorstep right now. She just looks like some generic blonde bimbo...

Maybe. It isn't the talent that counts, it's how she markets herself. People don't really care if she can sing well if she is great to look at. I wouldn't know one of her songs, but I would recognize her. She needs to sell herself out, because her voice is not that recognizable but to a few. She is merely a fad, and a fad can become timeless if she stays with the times.

...this is the way women are supposed to look in order to be boring and blend in easily with the woodwork. I suspect there's some sort of marketing campaign behind it...sells more hair dye, make-up, underwear, weight-loss books, exercise equipment, shoes...
