| cabinfever | posted 8-Feb-2006 2:24am Sorry, not very original, but when I hear "Hawaii" my very first thought is my favorite pizza- canadian bacon and pineapple. If I think for a moment longer, I think pineapple, sand, and an ex boyfriend who was Hawaiian. butt-hole
I also thought of 'dabprovin'... |
| cabinfever | (reply to Strider) posted 8-Feb-2006 2:25am Isn't that show a riot? I've only been able to see a couple, but man.... the first thing I thought when I saw Dog and his wife was "the eighties live!" |

| Galomorro | posted 8-Feb-2006 9:49am Other -- the ancient song-chants music I have loved since I was a little kid. All I have of it now are on very old cassette tapes. I taped old 45s and 78s onto tapes many years ago and still listen to the stuff when the mood hits me. There are a few CDs out now with this old folk music and hopefully they are going to continue to bring back more of it so I can get them on CDs -- even possibly the ones I recorded off the old records -- and I can update and add to my collection. I also like other Polynesian folk music styles -- throughout all the Pacific islands -- but Hawaiian song-chants are my favorites of all. This is mainly raw percussion with sticks and call-and-response chanting. There is also included in my favorites some fast "hula" music like one of my favs called "Ka Anoi Hula" which has some guitar music in it. Someday I will find CDs of all of these! |

| Amanda | (reply to Strider) posted 9-Feb-2006 10:14am She tickles me because she acts like she's all that. She can also be a total dog. But, then again, the show wouldn't be as good without her. |

I just bought a house! Don't tell anyone yet until it's official - you see, someone else had already bid on it but hasn't found the financing for it yet and his time is up tomorrow. They had asked for an extension but the agent refused because I had a pre-approved mortgage and was a sure bet. The people selling the house have already bought their new one so they really must sell - they even accepted $500 less from me just because I was a sure thing... Little did my agent and I know but we had visited the other bidder's house, naturally, his is for sale too. He has little chance on selling it right now - it's a very small, semi-detached house built in 1998 with all the bedrooms in the basement (and itty-bitty too) with the living room and kitchen upstairs. A good "first house" but the worst is that his floors are unfinished in the basement and he had water damage because of our early spring. Things don't look good for him as far as selling the place right now so I don't think any bank is going to let him support 2 mortgages... I feel bad for him but I feel great for me!! So in the meantime Hush! I'll let you know what's up when it's official and then we gonna have one heluva PARTY! |

| cloudhugger | (reply to Irene007) posted 15-Feb-2006 11:52am The goggles are a movie prop, they were borrowed. They belong to someone else, and they are about a 30 minute drive from my house. I could "borrow" them, but I would have to return them before anyone noticed them missing. You will know me when you see me. |
| hypersky | (reply to Irene007) posted 15-Feb-2006 6:10pm Hoo-ah, cuz! I won't tell a soul at this end... Of course, anybody reading this is excluded from my list of souls not to tell... Bonne chance! |

| Irene007 | (reply to hypersky) posted 16-Feb-2006 7:48am Bummer... The guy came through with his financing at the last hour! Pffft! Some people have all the luck. But... Another went on the market just yesterday, a little smaller but much nicer and I saw it last night. My offer was made as I walked out of there so I'll know tonight what their counter offer will be. Cross your fingers!

| Irene007 | (reply to hypersky) posted 21-Feb-2006 12:18am When we went to her birthday party, we slept in while he cleaned the house (we were up until, Pffft! God knows what hour! We were rearranging the furniture to make the place more sellable- Hey! Did she ever get any offers for that house?). Then we went shopping while the strangers visited the house and then we walked in to the most delectable cooking smells ever - thanks to Ricky! Worst part is that I couldn't stay for supper so your Mom made me "un sandwich du tonnerre", while Lyne cut some hot, dried Italian sausage to snack on, cheese cubes, and your Mom added fruit and drinks... Jeez! You'd think I was leaving for Alaska! |

Anyway, she said that she'll be there for my house warming party and you'd better be there too! I'm going to have a live blues band in attendance! Well, a duo anyway - they're called "Swing Shift" when they're a just duo and the Jamie Wood Band when she has a full band. Who cares? She's great all by herself!! |
