The co-op office at my college owed me a favor (I helped promote them), so they told me about a summer job posting they had at a start-up company (that they couldn't use). I've been at that company for 8 years, I was employee 14.

I had worked with my boss at a previous job and when he started his own business he asked me to go to work for him.

The first time I interviewed here, I found the company on ne.jobs. But after they offered me a job I turned it down to move to MD. Then when I decided to move back to MA I called them up and told them I was available again, and I reinterviewed and was hired to a different position. So, Mr. or Ms. Survey Creator: was that the online want ad (how I found the company), or networking (how I found the job itself)?

All my other jobs have been through networking of one sort or another.

I followed co-workers I liked who abandoned my (then) current company in favour of this one.

Missing the most important one. Especially when you take into account where this survey appears.

Using on-line job hunt/help sites.

tecknode: There is an option for "an online want ad."

I send out cover letters and my c.v. to schools in Hong Kong, set up interviews with several, and was offered a few positions.
