| pcpr | posted 8-Jun-1999 9:28pm Both: main principal (sounds weird) was male, vice-principal was female. He retired a couple of months before I graduated and she became the principal. BTW, she was much better at dealing with students, staff etc than he's ever been, but he was much funnier (altho not by intention, and it used to be hard not to laugh in his face while he was talking -- we used to poke fun at him behind his back [and no, I'm not proud of this now, but I was different then] |
| supplicant | posted 8-Jun-1999 10:24pm Male for head and vice at the three schools I can recall. One of my Uncles and his wife are Principal and Vice-Principal at the same school (they had to apply for the job externally, so it was deserved, not back-room dealed ;)) |
| lara | posted 8-Jun-1999 10:29pm i don't remember! |
| Wicksy | posted 9-Jun-1999 4:55am it was an all male school |
| bill | posted 9-Jun-1999 5:04am I'm guessing because I can't remember. |
| Jody | posted 9-Jun-1999 9:36am In high school, we had a male principal. In junior high, we had a female principal who insisted on being called Ms., rode a motorcycle, and had a large boa constrictor on display outside her office - nobody messed with her! |
| kristalynn | posted 9-Jun-1999 11:33am I would say female but I'm pretty sure Ms. Derleath is a guy. |
| mandy | posted 9-Jun-1999 7:41pm These options were bizarre and scary! |
| SueBee | posted 10-Jun-1999 12:35am He was a major nerd! Jody - Your principal sounds like that scary woman in the movie Matilda. |
| Jody | posted 10-Jun-1999 8:01am SueBee - She seemed really scary, but once she really helped settle a problem I was having with another student, so she was a decent person at least, and good at her job. |
| fooyun | posted 12-Jun-1999 11:15pm Seeing as how my high school went co-ed only one year after I entered as a freshman, the principal was male. |
| Eeah | posted 13-Jun-1999 11:35am a boi.. But he was nice to me. :) I had my troubles with the vice principal. The bastard. |
| lelle | posted 14-Jun-1999 12:45am Three schools, three countries, three male principals. :) |
| they | posted 14-Jun-1999 2:39pm Both. |
| eris | posted 14-Jun-1999 4:05pm High school principals have sex? LOL |
| Gamera | posted 14-Jun-1999 10:44pm We had a "Head Master" at a while at my all girls school. Later, when he retired, the replacement was a "Head Mistress." She was quite strict, but I liked her better because I never felt as though she played favorites or was trying to be anybody's friend. Eventually I came to confide in her and turn to her when I needed help because I knew she was all business. |
| mandy | posted 15-Jun-1999 1:15am hmmmm a headmistress? Lucky topper ;) Did you ever misbehave just to get a caning? |
| Mandy2 | posted 21-Jun-1999 5:12pm Both the principal and the vice were female. |
| drdt | posted 28-Jun-1999 7:05pm I am sure my HS had a principal, but I can't tell you what s/he looked like. |
| Wicksy | posted 8-Jul-1999 9:16am I was never the principal ! |
| Zang | posted 28-May-2006 12:22am All principals and vice principals were male throughout my scholastic career. I believe that possessing a y chromosome was a job requirement for principals and vice principals at that time* in Canada.
