I was supposed to be the starting shortstop for the Yankees. Go to hell, Derek Jeter. |

Well, I really wanted to be a pilot for a while, but I just physically cannot do it. The air pressure has way too much effect on me. I'll even get bothered by it when I'm not flying. Flights in small planes are especially hard for me;

I wanted to be a super hero... then I wanted to be an astronaut... then I wanted to be a secret agent... then I wanted to be an evil tyrant that ruled the world. I still want to be an evil tyrant that rules the world. |

An author. Up until I was 9 I wanted to write children's book; between ages 9 and 14 I wanted to write science-fiction. When I was 15 I realized that I have absolutely no writing talent, and changed my career goals a bit. |

Who says kids have big ambitions? Hah, in 3rd grade I wanted to be a used car salesman. I've never had any ambition to be anything specific even though in school I was always in the top 10% of the country in test scores and IQ.
I didn't even decide my college major until the last minute. I guess things worked out well thoough. I make more than anything on the list above except for a doctor or athlete.
Other than money my only other ambition or dream was to be a rock star, better than Eddie Van Halen. I lived the early band days in the 60's playing high school dances, clubs and other gigs. Now that kind of thing would fulfill my dream, and rock stars don't do too bad for money either. |

Harder to figure is who would purposely want to be a proctologist.

Other. Sorry about not having anything worth listening to here. Any dream I had I proudly told my mom and she immediately squashed them and saved alot of time and money. |

Other - no regular ambitions whatsoever. I most wanted to live as a hermit in a little cabin on a mountain with animals around me. I used to think living like the film/book/comic book character "Tarzan" would be fun -- alone in the woods with all sorts of animals for company. |

I either wanted to be a police officer or a veterinarian, and a writer too. In high school I thought about the military... should have done that. Would have been good for me. |

Give this thought regarding military another 15 - 20 years... I'm guessing you may feel differently then... The USA doesn't take care of its own. Nope. Those that are weaker, and can't tolerate the tolls of past wars; they tend to end up homeless and afflicted with substance abuse problems and war-driven mental illnesses. |

It varied. First I wanted to be an astronomer like my father, then a teacher, a secretary, a businesswoman and an interior designer. I'm sure there were some other things mixed in there as well. Oh, I wanted to be an Olympic cyclist for a while, too. |
