We all know and read in holy books about the heaven and the hell, what is after this?

I mean, when we go to the heaven, I wish we all go, what is after that, we would stay alive, but then, what after that? I do believe in heaven and hell, and I am sure of them, and I know the answer on my question, that nothing would happen after that, but what will happen after that, just stay alive, with no end for the life?

Nothing. Mankind is an extremely VAIN species that thinks itself better than it really is, showing no appreciation for the abilities and impressive feats of the human mind.

I don't believe in heaven or hell or anything else after death. I believe when you're dead, you're just dead, and the universe continues on its inevitable course without you.

No pain, no fear, no hate, no broken heart. No heaven, hell. You die, you end.

A priest told me that heaven and hell are more abstract than what media leads us to believe. Like hell is perpetual thirst, but you cannot drink. Kind of mythological...

I've seen it four times so far * smile *

We tried to see it Thursday night, and found that Yahoo lied about what time it was showing at, so we missed it. We ended up seeing Narnia instead... which was good... though lousy as Christian parable, I thought. Plus, that lion had no balls!

But as I said somewhere else, I don't know what happens seeing as how I'm not dead. But I will be sure to tell you all when I do die.

Who says that heaven & hell even exists? Who says that my life now isn't hell, or perhaps the joyous moments are heaven. Perhaps this is the handbasket. Who's to say I don't reincarnate over & over? Why can't we just rot in the ground?

I've seen it, & have it downloaded, takes up 2 data disks, decent quality for being recorded with a camcorder, only once did someone pop their head in the way of the screen. How dare them stand up!!!

Uh, I was fine with an answer till I read all the explanation then it all fell apart in my head.
What is after heaven?? Is that the question? What you read in the books is somebodys fantasy world. It is an illusion. Life is an illusion. It's all an illusion.

I went to the IMAX theater and saw it! I saw it on the regular screen, and then the IMAX. Like 2 different movies, each great in their own way.

You should try reading 'Journey of Souls' by Michael Newton.

It probably has a lot of crap in it, but it beautifully sums up the idea of re-birth - putting 'heaven' as a place we all come from and return to - and use Earth - or other planets - as a training ground of education.

Really? I didn't notice much difference with IMAX. But then again, seeing it for the fourth time, I kind of spaced out and tried to imagine what would it be like to be married to Snape.

Hi Dino... it seems like I remember you saying you like Alice Walker.... I've read The Color Purple (my favorite book)... and tried Meridian... but didn't really care for it... Can you make some better recommendations?
Dino
(reply to they) posted 1-Jan-2006 7:21pm
Yeah, I wasn't too keen on Meridian either.

Everyone in this country is raving about a book called 'Lovely Bones' by Alice Seabold.

However, I just bought it so I don't start reading it until Tuesday. I'll let you know.

But it sounds excellent.

As for other books, nothing I would come right out and recommend in the same genre.

I do recommend 'The Golden Compass' by Philip Pullman (called 'Northern Lights' in the UK) - but its a totally different genre. I absolutely loved that book! Seriously loved it.

I remember a time when qualification helped to avoid surveys like this.

I generally agree with the rather biased statement in the "explanation" although I would have said it using something which more closely resembled the English language.

Heaven would be in a giant field of oranges that have zippers and bueatiful women would feed you them all day long and it would have a wireless internet connection with a gillion Mbps, which would always be connected, for the rest of your eternity.

Krum???

In this movie, it's Cedric Diggory. And Lucius is not that popular. I mean, if he got popular, I'd kill all my rivals.

I read Lovely Bones quite some time ago. It was okay I don't see why everyone makes such a big deal about it, I've sure read much better books. Of course that's just my opinion! * smile * I'd like to know what you think after you read it.

Energy is neither created nor destroyed. When you die you become another form of energy. You will have consciousness of what is but it will not be the same as it is now.
