You scored as Existentialism. Your life is guided by the concept of Existentialism: You choose the meaning and purpose of your life.
Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.
It is up to you to give [life] a meaning.
--Jean-Paul Sartre
It is man's natural sickness to believe that he possesses the Truth.
--Blaise Pascal
I actually tied for Utilitarianism, which in short believes in taking care of your fellow people on earth |

Duh, sorry I didnt realise there was a quiz here sorry............. ironic I took the quiz AFTER I posted my answer and:
You scored as Justice (Fairness).
Your life is guided by the concept of Fair Justice: Everyone, yourself included, should be rewarded and punished according to the help or harm they cause.
"He who does not punish evil commands it to be done."
--Leonardo da Vinci

Wow! That's a really bad quiz! Not only does it try to narrowly fit everyone into nine rather arbitrary "philosophical schools", but it doesn't even do it very accurately. I don't subscribe to any of those philosophies, but if I had to pick the one that I felt sure I wouldn't be associated with it would have been Existentialism. So what does it pick for me?!!

Justice I suppose. But I don't understand what some of these terms mean. I have heard the word nihilism but not sure what it means, for example. Have never heard of kantianism. |
Zang | | posted 13-Oct-2005 9:06pm |
Now that I can see the results, I suspect that the quiz is automatically geared toward Existentialism as an outcome. So far only three of the options have come up and half of them are Existentialism.

Every belief, every considering something-true, is necessarily false because there is simply no true world.
