| Lizabeth | posted 20-May-1999 9:24pm Usually not. I have naturally curly hair so blow drying it just makes it frizzy. |
| pandora | posted 20-May-1999 9:38pm Rarely, it takes forever, and isn't really good for my curls. |
| pandora | posted 20-May-1999 9:39pm Have you got any good styling tips Lizabeth? I'm stuck with using at least two hair products a day, and it sucks. |
| fooyun | posted 20-May-1999 10:06pm Air dry! |
| they | posted 20-May-1999 10:10pm Never have... It's not good for your hair. I have really long, thick hair too, so it takes forever for it to dry... Since I usually keep my hair tied up in a knot behind my head, it takes about 4-6 hours to dry. |
| hunter | posted 20-May-1999 11:50pm Until a couple of months ago, that would have been "never," but now that I'm working a suit job, I occasionally find myself showering in the morning and don't want to go to work with wet hair, so I went ahead and bought a blow dryer and seem to use it about once a month. |
| supplicant | posted 21-May-1999 3:38am I can dry it completely with a towel, so I never bother wasting time with a blow dryer. |
| Wicksy | posted 21-May-1999 4:59am Did someone say blow job ? Oh, blow dry !! Sorry |
| lizzie | posted 21-May-1999 9:10am I have curly hair, so blow drying it would create a huge frizzball of DOOM! that would last a few days. |
| Jody | posted 21-May-1999 10:00am Never. Too damaging. |
| Pooh_Bear | posted 21-May-1999 10:06am On weekdays, when I have to go to work, I blow dry my hair. On weekends, I don't |
| romkey | posted 21-May-1999 10:11am I really hate the way blowdrying my hair leaves it feeling, and I'm convinced it's not good for it, so I never do it. |
| mandy | posted 21-May-1999 11:09am I do not have a style at this time that warrants blow drying. I just wash it and brush it and let it dry naturally and with a little hairspray I'm good to go *smiles* |
| lion | posted 21-May-1999 12:36pm The people who have cut my hair in the past said to try and avoid blow drying my hair. |
| Lizabeth | posted 21-May-1999 5:23pm pandora: I usually just put some gel on it, style it with my fingers (or with a comb or styling brush - NEVER use bristles on wet hair), and let it air dry. Then, depending on what kind of mood I'm in, I either leave it curly or brush it out. Then I spray it, so that's still 2 products. Oh, well - sorry. I agree with the people who say it's damaging. I used to blow dry it all the time and it was huge, I mean like an afro. And so dry, no matter what I did with it. I hated my hair!! |
| kadai | posted 21-May-1999 5:31pm I don't have the kind of hair that blow drys constructively. (Afros should be banned) |
| Lizabeth | posted 21-May-1999 5:54pm kadai: Well, I don't know about "banned" ... but they surely don't belong on the top of my head! |
| bill | posted 23-May-1999 6:58am I did when I was 12, then I stopped after my friends teased me that my hair was all poofy. |
| eris | posted 24-May-1999 7:28pm It would take much too long. It dries fine on its own. |
| Gamera | posted 24-May-1999 8:52pm okay, not "none," but sufficiently little that it would be silly. I do own a hair dryer to dry paint samples, though. |
| Jane | posted 26-May-1999 2:53pm I never have time to blow dry my curly hair in the morning. On school days, I pull my wet hair back in a ponytail. If I have time, I might leave it down and let it air dry. I have blow dried my hair once in my entire life, and the end result was really frizzy. Ick. |
| SueBee | posted 27-May-1999 12:16am I just started using that ThermSilk shampoo that's supposed to be heat activated. The weird thing is that after using it I don't need the blow dryer. I towel dry my short hair and it feels completely dry. There's something strange in that shampoo! |
