bill  | posted 23-May-1999 7:09am The first survey (http://surveycentral.org/?V=1) was created on 02/17/97 - so that's SC's birthday I guess. I created Survey Central partially because hunter wanted "vote" back, and I missed it too. "vote" was a command-line/shell program that I ran on a few Unix systems that did what SC does, but on a smaller scale and with a limited audience. "vote" was originally written by Ralph Valentino (a friend from college [WPI]) over 10 years ago, but I was its number one fan. I wrote a new version that added comments and allowed anyone to author a question. |
