If you have food, water, shelter and warmth, it wont last long if you're an idiot with no common sense and can't do anything to take care of yourself. I guess if you don't have common sense or any sort of skill, you need family or friends who are pushovers that you can mooch from.
Amanda	(reply to ElvisFan67) posted 24-Sep-2005 8:16pm Yeah, we survived. Caleb and I have had to move to Clinton, which is about 45 miles east of where we lived. Now, we're taking a pounding from Rita. Not nearly as bad as with Katrina, though. Winds have only reached 35 mph gusts. Lots of rain and a few tornandos. A tornando touched down about 4 miles from where we're at now. And, lucky us, had a soccer tournament today. Ugh! Talk about being soaked!
