If you had to rank this site on a scale of 1-10 (1 being worst, 10 favorite)compared to other sites you visit on a normal basis, what would you rank it?

Too new, but everyone seems friendly and the site is easy to navigate. still tying to figure out the tag game.

It's nearly up with the other two, I like SC so much. The top 2 are Shutterfly, a photosharing site which I use for my digital fotos, and craigslist, which I consult for garage-saling possibilities on weekends. So I listed it 3rd.

Considering I have a habit of coming & going from SC, or stages of being silent, I give SC a 10, mainly beacause that's my choice to do so due to people, heavy political attacks, etc. Bill, tries his damndest to rectify all problems, for no real reason, but for us. Most other sites that I frequent on a daily basis are either email (they don't count) or webcomix, and one of them doesn't update every day, so that's always a dissapointment when they don't.

Anywho, I'm rambing.

Not sure.......... I frequent really only 2 sites, this one and my poker site........ I gain different things from each.......... So I cannot compare..

10 = its only one of two sites I pay a membership fee for and I'm happy to do so.

I would give Survey Central a 10 as being the very best , I can meet other people and chat with them if nobody gets mad at me, and blows their top? I love to meet new people and I love to share with others so many different topics of interest.

Galo, you might want to take a look at www.photosite.com and it's free to post 150 pix... I pay $4.99 a month for 1000. I have 2, one for my pix of the band, then the paid one for all my personal stuff. Check my profile for actual websites!

Well, Shutterfly is FREE and unlimited as to number of fotos you can have. I have several thousand already up. I used to pay $20-something a year for Webshots but they had a limit of 3,000 fotos, and I had difficulty when I went to renew for another year, so decided on impulse to check out other sites. I really appreciate Shutterfly's ease of use (important for someone non-techy like me), unlimited fotos, and FREEness. I show support once in a while by buying things like mousepads or T-shirts, but they did not force me to buy anything. The only thing is that it is not a public site like Webshots, so I have to have someone's email address to personally invite them to each "album."

Sounds like a great site, too! I set mine to public access because I have promo shots of both the band and fans I want everyone to see!

I was in photofinishing from 1965 to 2001 when digital put most labs out of business.

I was disappointed Shutterfly wasn't totally public, but then when I had all of my pix up on public Webshots (still have about 240 free ones up there I guess), I didn't like that because of copyright concerns, on each pic in the middle they had my screen name. I thought it took something away from the pix to have this wording added thru the middle on all the fotos. You are right - I think many more people would be likely to see your fotos than if they had to go to the trouble to ask you to email them personally for an invitation!

I give it an 8. I would give it a 10 but I find that this site has addicting qualities, and I don't like to be addicted to anything. So because I am unhappily addicted, but strangley aroused I give it the highest I am comfortable giving.

I would say definitely a STRONG EIGHT, but probably a Nine. I like any site that provokes thought and contemplation. Discussions, debates and arguments are a plus!

Irene (my cuz) introduced me to SC a couple years back, but I've stayed dormant for most of that time. I guess the fact that I'm a bit of a public opinion research geek draws me to this site, but it's the opinions expressed by all of you that keeps me coming back. Lots of differing viewpoints are expressed, but the tone is always respectful. Lots of humour, too, which I appreciate.

other than work *my boss who's been working there the same amt of time as me got off her birthday *labor day* for like 7 days to take a 7 day six night cruise or whatever and all they could give me was a 3 hour lunch break...and i NEVER ask to get off but this was my 21st and wanted it to be a special day...oh well, other than that, had three birthday parties it was awesome...i didnt figure anyone would remember or care that it was my birthday...got a little to drunk friday night though, other than that everything went great. how have you been? anything new around SC?im not gonna have a chance to read all the forums, etc, about to go to bed ugh have to get up at 6-just curious if there have been any good or bad things happening around here

He was also Romeo441 as well. I work as a market research interviewer at Venture Data (Taking the pulse of the world). We do a variety of surveys (we don't sell anything, just do surveys). Our company tends to do a lot of political polls, mostly for the Republican party.

like online surveys and things? i dont see how they make money from that but im sure they must somehow to be paying their employees lol so how did bill find out about richard that quick? its been less than a month since ive been on and i hadnt even seen that andromeda character, whizkid was on for a long time before getting caught it seems

No, we call homes and businesses and do surveys with people. Our company is paid by the company that commisions the survey. The reason bill found out so quick is that he had asked us previously, back when whizkid was found to be Richard47, to e-mail him and let him know if we saw evidence of a user acting like Richard47 or one of his many incarnations. As I said, it was easy this time because Richard47 started talking like Miss_Tabby in Forum under the user name of Andromeda22. You may have also noticed a bit of a pattern to some of his user names. He seems to like putting numbers after some of his user names. Richard47, Romeo441, Andromeda22.
