| Gamera | posted 17-May-1999 1:44am I want to check both the previews and the movie, because for me the previews are part of the movie, like making out first is part of sex. |
| jonathan | posted 17-May-1999 9:00am The movie. I don't like watching many previews because they give too much of the movie away, and I can have candy/popcorn/drinks whenever I want anyways. |

| pandora | posted 17-May-1999 2:24pm I used to like the popcorn until I got old enough to care about it's nutritional facts. (And the price) |
| dpolicar | posted 17-May-1999 3:39pm depends. compared to watching tapes on a VCR, it's the screen size and the total-immersion effect. compared to other, non-movie-related activities, it's the movie (or sometimes the air conditioning). |
| fooyun | posted 17-May-1999 5:57pm All of the above, although I have to pick Icee as the best drink! |

| pcpr | posted 17-May-1999 9:48pm I used to like the devilled eggs a lot, but now they have popcorn instead. |
| Frostbrand | posted 17-May-1999 11:49pm pandora: I had this friend once who was a copmplete and total helath nut. he never had anything unhealthy. Except for movie theater popcorn. He said it was just something you have to do when you go to the movies. |
| Callie | posted 18-May-1999 5:30am Movies are the ultra left wing way of controlling our lives. They should be closely monitored and, if needed, censored. |
| bill | posted 18-May-1999 9:25am devilled eggs, ah! |
| dpolicar | posted 18-May-1999 10:11am Brian - that reminds me of the "pork isn't unkosher in Chinese food" tradition of my youth... |

| drdt | posted 1-Jul-1999 5:04pm I find it odd you neglected to mention the company. I am unable to enjoy a movie if there isn't someone there I can nudge at strategic moments. Actually I don't know this because I have never tried to see a movie alone. I think I would end up pissing off a total stranger. |
| supplicant | posted 1-Jul-1999 7:14pm drdt: depends on the personality but you should try it, you might enjoy it. I used to do it reasonably often, I think perhaps there was something appealing about being totally alone in a room full of people :) Or being totally alone and being able to just enjoy something mindless. But I'm someone who values personal space highly and likes to be alone a lot of the time. I don't do it very often now though since there are more people wanting to see things with me. I've seen 23 different films at the cinema this year and not one of them alone. |
