A while ago it occurred to me that I was probably drinking too much coffee, so I cut back to one cup in the morning. Getting to bed at a reasonable hour seems to have helped tremendously, as well. |

At one point in time I just went for the IV drip of coffee. I've tapered off in the last few years, especially since my addiction become more than I could keep up with. I was one of those guys who took caffeine pills because I couldn't drink enough coffee to keep up with my habit. Moderation is a wonderful thing. |

My hot/cold choice depends on the season. One of the first signs of spring for me is when I start to crave Dunkin' Donuts iced hazelnut coffee. |

Caffeine bad. I never knew I was so dependent upon it until I tried to stop drinking it. |

When I get to work I grab a can of dietCoke and a glass of water. When those are gone, I replace them. Lather, rinse, repeat. |

What I drink and how much varies wildly. |

I'm not sure how many servings my usual morning dosage entails- I have either a double or a quad cappaccino- but then after that no more caffeine all day. |

java! java! java! in the morning. Coffee in the morning is a very good thing (tm). |

I make myself a double non-fat latte every single morning, without fail. Except when camping, where I settle for ultra-strong cup of black coffee made with espresso roast. |

I drink warm-to-cool caffeine (20-40% coffee, 60-80% milk). 2-5 cups of this a day is about 1.5 cups of coffee. About half of that is in the morning. |

C is for coffee, that's good enough for me. Coffee, coffee, coffee start with C. Mornings, I am the Coffee Monster. Unless I don't get any - in which case I'm the Grouch. |

My work-day does not offically begin until I have finished a large iced-coffee from AuBonPain. |

I drink one cup of tea in the morning and that's it. The rest of the day I drink water or caffeine-free soda. I am taking a diet pill that contains caffeine so I have to limit caffeine from other sources. |

I usually have one cup of coffee in the morning... but it's a large cup. |

One cup of tea before going to work (sometimes two if I'm thirsty and have plenty of time). A cup of coffee as soon as possible after arriving at work, maybe another mid-morning if I'm thirsty and bored (if I'm busy I don't have time for extra trips to the coffee machine). |

Considered the big difference between the amount of caffeine in american and european coffee, I wonder what kind of conclusion you want to make |
bill | | posted 11-Jun-1999 7:05am |
Is there more or less caffeine in America (vs. European) coffee? |
| lelle | | posted 17-Jun-1999 7:25pm |
bill: generally, more caffeine in European coffee, simply because it is made with more, finer grind, coffee. Generic American coffee (restaurant/diner/doughnut shop) tastes like someone rinsed the coffeepot and poured me the water... Also, I chose "hot" but I take after my father and tend to drink the coffee once it's cooled to somewhere between blood temperature and room temperature. |

I don't drink coffee in the morning, i do however drink a cup or two of coffee at night. I do drink a lot of herbal tea but that's not caffinated. |

Mountain Dew and Coffee. You get the caffeine and the added wake up power of alternating temperatures. |
